A mutual attraction seems to develop, but is hindered by the shadows that lurk in Mr. Blackstone’s past. When the truth is finally exposed, will it bring them closer together or will it be too heavy of a burden for Rachel to carry? ...they will either balance each other out and become better versions of themselves, at the hands of the other’s encouragement; or, resist each other’s hands to only fall deeper into apprehension.

C.R. Lemons has done it again with another well written novel. She knows what the readers want to see and how she wants the characters to be heard. If you like romance, law and a slight touch of comedy this is the book for you to pick up. C.R. Lemons is a talented writer of romance, erotica and comedy mixed in as well. She has a wide fan base that will have everyone wanting to hear more about her novels.

The Mysterious Mr Blackstone started off grabbing my attention

It was sexy, unusual and the characters were compelling. Then the bottom dropped out! The characters did not develop, they just changed. It seemed like on one page they are one way and when you turn the next page they are like different people. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere, boom, the book was over. It felt like the author just got tired of writing this book. I was so disappointed because this plot had the makings of a very good book. I feel like a door was slammed in my face.

What a wonderful book. It is very fast pace. It took to the end to figure out why Mr. Blackstone only came to work at night. You do begin to believe he is vampire which is funny. It is an easy read and will keep you wanting to finish so you see what happens. I will not spoil it for you. Read and enjoy.

Rachel thinks her boss is a vampire because he comes to the office at night although he does make the weekly meeting. As a first year lawyer she works with his quirks and gets the opportunity to make her first appearance in court. But she does need Mr. Blackstone's help. He helps her. She helps him.

This was not what I expected. It was a good story though. Rachel is so relatable. Mr. Blackstone is not what he appears and has reasons for his quirks. I liked how the two of them related with each other. I also liked Rachel's neighbor even if Rachel wanted the earth to open up and swallow her.

I will be reading more of Ms. Lemons.
