I'll give Strange But True Hockey Stories two and a half stars. I like how Howard Liss introduces young readers to ice hockey with stories from the sport's long, rich history. Funny, suspenseful, even sad at times, these stories reveal hockey at its best. The one about Ernie Shore and Ace Bailey, "Hockey's Worst Fight", is particularly well done. Strange But True Hockey Stories is a good ambassador for hockey in any era.
