Rate this book
***FOR HIGH-BEGINNER TO LOW-INTERMEDIATE LEARNERS*** Master the Spanish subjunctive in the next 30 days, with this innovative, story-based immersion method. Just read one chapter per day, complete the exercises and watch as one of the trickiest elements of Spanish falls into place and improves your speech without a hitch!

“I love Olly’s work - and you will too!” -  Barbara Oakley, PhD, Author of New York Times bestseller A Mind for Numbers

Most Spanish students try to learn Spanish grammar through rules and rote memorisation. This doesn't work, and is extremely stressful for you as a learner. Why? Because there are lots of so-called "rules" to learn and it's impossible to hold them all in your head at the same time while you're speaking. It's also not a natural approach ... native speakers don't learn the language with rules and memory tricks, after all!

With 30-Day Subjunctive Made Simple you'll learn through example and context, just like native speakers do! The magic of learning through story is that your main focus is actually not on memorising anything... you concentrate on understanding and enjoying the story! As you're reading, you will find that the subjunctive will begin to lodge itself subconsciously in your brain. It doesn't happen right away - in fact it may take a couple of weeks for you to feel the real effects. But by the end of this book, you'll have a native-like command of the Spanish subjunctive that will amaze you and your friends!

In this story, you will follow the adventures of Marcos and Daniela, two perfect strangers, as they travel around South America to discover the meaning of a mysterious, coded email they both received from an anonymous sender. . .

Really great way to learn the subjunctive. Clear explanations at the beginning (in English) and lots of different examples. The story was also interesting which can be hard to find in graded readers! Found the quizzes helpful to check understanding - only suggestion would be to put answer key at the end of each quiz as a bit hard to flick through on an e-reader. Definitely recommend this book!

I really could not give more than a two star rating. Although it is nice that subjunctive text is bold, there are way too many mistakes in the quiz. Very annoying. To be sure that I was not mistaken I checked the answers to the questions with a native speaker but unfortunately I was right so I skipped the quiz... It could be so easy to adjust the digital version... cannot recommand it, sorry

Otro libro de la serie y me gustó. Aprendí nuevas estructuras del subjuntivo que he visto antes pero no he usado mucho cuando hablo. Eran ellos que tenían que ver con 'mientras que'. Creo que la frase tiene que empezar con 'mientras que' para usar el subjuntivo pero creo que hay otras maneras de construirlas. Por supuesto, voy a pedir prestado otro libro de la serie! Bien hecho!

A fun way to learn. I wouldn’t say l mastered the subjunctive, though. But I did learn a little bit.
