I love these two!! I was hooked to Rose & Raffa from the 1st chapter. They have so much chemistry, desire & passion. The passion for their careers, animals & their families. Raffa Costa the tall, dark & handsome millionaire who when fr0m a young man learning the business. To become the man of the family to his sibling's when he witnessed his parents' parish in a plane accident where the pilot was drunk. He has never forgiven himself for what happened. Though it wasn't his fault but emotions, headache don't stop guilt. He has worked to prove his worth to his family. But never to himself. Raffa never thought he could love. Until he met the strong, capable, heart of gold, Rose Kelly his Lead Groom to his stables.

Rose Kelly always speaks her truths. Except when it comes to her family obligations. Her mama died & she was responsible for taking care of her brothers. Since his father turned to drink after his wife death. Violent, gambling drunk daily. He has gotten himself in trouble & has put his family & ranch on the line. Rose is determined to get All the money she can go sent home to get her father into treatment. While her siblings have said why she forgives him. Rose says he needs to be loved. Plus, her Mama told her on her deathbed she needs to take care of the family. What a burden to put on your youngest & daughter. Rose was grateful for her job, love for animals & hope for a future in the career she loves the most. Taking care of the Acosta's ponies. What she didn't expect was the kindness, chemistry she had with her boss. The gorgeous Raffe Costa.
When the two dance at Raffe sister's Sofia's wedding, electricity flies thru both of them. They do everything they can to fight their desires, thru laughs, plans for the stables. Raffa wants to Rose to succeed in her dreams. To do that she needs to be present in the horse circles to show the value of her work. Maybe Raffa cannot have her to love but he sure makes certain that she succeeds.

The two understand each other in business & personal needs. Their pain for the tragic deaths of their parents helps build their relationship from business to personal needs. But those walls of grief keep them at arms distance when it comes to dealing with vulnerability, which is means dealing with their feelings & emotions for one another. Raffa doesn't believe he deserves love not when it took his parents away. But he also knows that he cannot live without Rose.

Rose fights hard to not fall into her growing feelings for her boss Raffa. But now Raffa suggests they do something about those feelings. Proving her professional worth is effortless to the positive & sunny warm natured Rose. Raffa has more than business when he asks his Head Groom to accompany him to some important events. The banter and humor they share together is infectious. I couldn't put the novel down & felt completely invested in their journey. They relationship has a slow burn to a great lead up when they finally give into their attraction. Will these to fiercely loyal, lost souls give into their passion & take the paths to fight to be together? Will they give into having love in their lives? While still being able to balance their goals as well as family loyalties shine through?

Can the differences of these two lost souls come together thru passion, faith in trusting each other with the pain they both take on? Can their pain turn into love? learn that they are allowed to have a little bit of happiness for themselves & not just take care of their families?

I didn't like it, the story wasn't terrible but I didn't feel all that connected to the characters.

It felt odd that they had such a strong attraction to each other since the beginning of the story, yet they didn't for the three years prior that she worked for him. I don't quite understand how he all of a sudden was super attracted to her all because he saw her in a dress. The story would have been more believable if she was newly hired. P.

A Beautiful Story

I absolutely love Rose and Raffa's story. The two of them are just perfect together. I love how they are both dealing with the same kind of grief and guilt from the past, yet it takes giving in to each other to move forward with their lives. This story had me captivated from the beginning. In think you'll fall as much in love with Rose and Raffa as I did.

Forbidden to Her Spanish Boss had my from the first page. I thought the story had rich and wonderful layers that had me feeling for both Rose and Raffa and the pages flying. The story started immediately and continued to gather speed at an exciting pace.

Head Groom Rose knows her place so it’s hard to fight against the feelings growing for her boss Raffa, all the more so when he decides it’s time they do something about those feelings. Proving her professional worth is effortless to the naturally sunny and extremely warm natured Rose and as Head Groom she accompanies Raffa to some important events. The banter and humour they share together is infectious and as a reader, I was fully invested in their journty. When the lead up to their attraction simmering over is brilliantly written and the paths they take to be toghether has just the right emotion with their shared goal of family loyalties shining through.

Susan Stephens has written a beautiful story. I loved the feel of the words, I loved the differences of the two characters, I loved the slow burn captured perfectly, I loved they were good people and family loyalty were their common goal, I loved how they naturally liked each other and how they just had to overcome what the world threw at them rather than conflict between the two. Emotion was conveyed perfectly, the touch of the horses world was captured well and the locations were all beautifully described, it was like I was there myself

My heart feels warm after finishing Forbidden to Her Spanish Boss, thank you Susan Stephens.
