13-year-old Isla Brooke wasn’t expecting a graffiti message prompting a house call from the god of rainbows and shoes, Rob. But then again, she also wasn’t expecting to be dumped into a strange world of the Flipside and Divine Side, full of gods and goddesses, SemiMagicals and Demigods, and magical creatures like…yellow blobs? Isla definitely wasn’t expecting to be informed she fit into the chaotic hidden world as a SemiMagical with inherited powers—right before she was shoved on a quest to collect Rob’s magic rainbow keys in less than a week. And the icing on the cake? If she and her partner failed, there would be disastrous consequences. The clock was now ticking for Isla and her new friend Colin to collect the six enchanted keys, except it wasn’t as easy as finding them tucked under the car seat. Rob’s magic keys were scattered all over the globe, each guarded by monsters, vain princesses, and more. All the SemiMagicals had to beat the deadline were the questionable supplies Rob provided—magic sticky notes, an enchanted map (that ended up causing them more trouble than it did help…), and some new weapons; their supposed inactivated powers; and a lot of bad jokes and unneeded information between the two of them…plus the friends Isla and Colin picked up along the way. Will they complete their quest in time?

First off, this book was AMAZING. It's really the kind of novel I love reading (QUESTSS) with lots of action.
I was hooked to the storyline right from the prologue to the last page. The characters all have their own unique personalities, fleshed out. Each chapter makes you want to read more, and you just can't get enough of those plot twists. This fantasy aspect was really creative, but I'm not gonna give any major spoilers away in this review. :)
The chapter names were genius: humorous and sometimes sarcastic, and basically, they just make you more curious. Without giving away the plot, of course.
Plus, it's written by a young author, so that's even more impressive!
Overall, I loved reading Color Quest, and I can't wait for the next installments in the series!!
