I was waiting forever for Keary to come out with another book. When she finally revealed she was writing a new series I just couldn't wait any longer!
If you've ever read any books from Keary Taylor, you won't be disappointed at her style of writing. An interesting concept but I’m not invested in the characters or plot enough for me to continue the series.
3,5 stars. I really liked it. It's been awhile since i've read anything from this author but i'm glad i now did. The heroine was badass and the whole suspense of the story was great. The whole story was very character driven and well developed and that's definitely my kind of story. I will read the next books.

I love this series.
This is a different type of love story. It’s a love story of acceptance of who or more accurately what you are and what you can be together with the right person. It’s as if they are 2 half’s of a whole, light and dark.
She and Jaxon could not be any more different in their true forms but somehow that’s what brings them together. Serene is from the dark verse parallel universe and Jaxon is from the light verse parallel universe.

I probably should have had more of an idea of what this story was going to entail just from the title, but it didn't prepare me for the sheer brilliance of this story. Reading this first book I was enamoured at the actual writing style and loved the characters straight away I love Serena she seems so strong yet fragile and jaxon just seems to fit into her life straight away
Rabbling on the dance scene in my minds eye was absolutely beautifully written enough to immerse me into the club with them oh I do hope what Im hoping for happens?!

One thing I really like about this author is her ability to come up with a unique plot, and this series started really showcases that ability. In this latest, Serena and Jaxon will eventually (or will they?) on opposing sides, but for now they are drawn together despite many obstacles including Serena’s co-workers/friends. I'm intrigued enough with the author's goal for this parallel series format that I'll continue on. She's said you don't have to read book 1 to read book 2; every other book's focus is on a different "verse".

One of the best things that Keary Taylor does is build a world, a unique and fascinating world. She did it again with this series. She has announced that this series would be alternating between the two worlds and storylines. I can't wait to see the other "Darkverse" side of it!
