This book is powerful. Dr Scarlet has a personal and professional understanding of trauma and it shows in her work. As the book unfolds, seeing the growth of the super survivors in the therapy group so closely mirrors the kinds of discussions I've seen in trauma therapy groups. It's very real, and a deeply moving book. As a youth-focused therapist I can't wait to find more of Dr Scarlet's work and use it to engage with my clients.
The exercises are poignant and insightful, the observations are real, and the experiences are so touching that I felt myself empathising with the fictionalised characters. This book is relevant, current and exactly what we need more of in the field of psychotherapy!
