A good deed, a sexy French millionaire, and a deadly mystery. Just a typical day for Monica Baker…
Monica thought her luck was finally improving… until she found herself caught up in a murder investigation. Again. And running the risk of being the next victim.
Who knew that agreeing to pick up someone’s mail could end with a dead body in the den, a warning from beyond the grave, and a media circus?
As chaos ensues, only one thing is certain. If Monica wants her happily ever after with Tristan, she’s going to have to fight for it. Literally…
Maria Grazia Swan was born in Italy, but this rolling stone has definitely gathered no moss. She lived in Belgium, France, Germany, in beautiful Orange County, California where she raised her family, and is currently at home in Phoenix, Arizona—but stay tuned for weekly updates of Where in the World is Maria Grazia Swan?
As a young girl, her vivid imagination predestined her to be a writer. She won her first literary award at the age of fourteen while living in Belgium. As a young woman Maria returned to Italy to design for—ooh-la-la—haute couture. Once in the U.S. and after years of concentrating on family, she tackled real estate. These days her time is devoted to her deepest passions: writing and helping people find happiness.
Maria loves travel, opera, good books, hiking, and intelligent movies (if she can find one, that is). When asked about her idea of a perfect evening, she favors stimulating conversation, spicy Italian food and perfectly chilled Prosecco—but then, who doesn’t?
Maria has written short stories for anthologies, articles for high profile magazines and numerous blogs tackling love and life. She engaged her editorial and non-fiction skills for Mating Dance Rituals for Singles Who Weren't born yesterday. Her romantic suspense novels Love Thy Sister,Bosom Bodies and Italian Summer are available at Amazon.com. Her new series, published by Gemma Halliday is also available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, the first book is title Gemini Moon
I read the whole series and enjoyed the mysteries. The one thing that bothers me in most of them is the way Monica and Tristan interact. I find it strange and unnatural. Other than that I will read the next one when it is released.
"Tristan was away what? Five days? And everything went down the rabbit hole."
Monica Baker's at it again! And so much is happening! Picking up the mail at Tristan's home while they are away shouldn't be this hard. Leave it to Monica to find *another* body and get involved in *another* murder... and all she was doing was picking up the mail!
Is her love for Tristan Dumont enough to keep her safe? Will the media drive her crazy? And what's going on with work? And if that's not enough Aunt Brenda might be involved long distance? She needs a stiff drink, a cuddle from Dior and for her latest client to be less of a flake....
I love Monica, Dior, Brenda and the crew. I want to root for this home team ever time they come across my desk. I want to not do anything else until a Maria Grazia Swan book is done and then I want to go back and read them all over again. So much fun and I even learn things! Highly Recommended 5/5

What does a company merger, a sexy hunk of millionaire’s family business’ trip to France, an uncertain real estate deal, and a dead man in the den have in common? Monica Baker! She and murder seem to always link up! This is one feisty Italian lady that will fight to clear her name and get her man. Recommended book for cozy mystery reading!
Loved it. Kept me turning the pages. Several surprises. Sweet, unusual romance. Quick read. Thanks to the author for providing a copy for my voluntary review.
I was selected a winner in a contest by Maria Grazia Swan. The local real estate agent was at the Dumont home when a gray haired woman knocked on the door. Monica answered the door. The women appeared to be very nervous. She left a card with a message for Tristan Dumont to call her. It was about his father. Monica calls Tristan and gives him the message. He's quite confused. In the meantime, someone kills the gray haired woman. Tristan comes home to try and solve the murder. Plenty of twists and turns. Right to the end!!! A marvelous who done it!!!
I guessed Maria G. Swan might be Italian after I read her Monica Baker Background. I checked her Amazon biography and I was right. Not only did I enjoy the story, I learned more about Italy. Win-win as this was great read for a spring day
This was recommended read from a friend; it was a good book to try for a spring evening’s read. The storyline was attractive and the characters were fascinating. This rated high for a cozy mystery (no bloody fisticuffs or obvious sex). I would also read other books by Maria Grazia Swan.
When I read this cozy, I was delighted by the Italian influences. The characters were very relatable and having the animal rescue and care included was another win for me. This was a fast, enjoyable read. I will read other titles by this author now that I’ve discovered her.
This is a light and entertaining mystery. Probably came in the middle so I am not sure how Monica got from Italy to the USA. I bet that is another good story.
