i’ve re-read this fic more times than i can count and it’s one of my all time fav fics. it’s literally god tier and it gets the marauders vibes spot on. it’s such a slow burn too and i love the writing style.

THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST THING I HAVE READ IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I DOUBT ANY OTHER BOOK CAN TOP IT. Sirius and Vivian’s love story is something I’ve been dreaming my whole life about having. The way they loath each other but from a not-so-innocent prank other feelings start creeping in the heart of Sirius and the way they keep playing with the string that separates hate from love until they have both fallen head over heels for each other to the point where nothing else matters is crazy. Vivian even tried to resist but she already knew that her heart belonged to him and no one else is going to make her feel that way. I loved the dynamic of Vivian and Sirius throughout the whole book. It was so fun seeing them argue and insult each other and completely ironic to see them slowly breaking their own promises when they kept saying the hate each other but they were clearly in love. The book was so amazingly captivating and the writing was beautiful, moving even. I can ,obviously, rant about this book for hours on end and I wouldn’t be bored. The author managed to make this book overflow with so many emotions and I just adore it.

I would just like to point out that this is OVER 1,000 PAGES so give me some slack for taking basically 9 months to finish this. I would also like to say that this is my favorite fanfiction of all time and if anyone has anything to say about it then keep it to your damn self I will hear nothing about it.
I have no idea how to even begin to write down all my thoughts on this so I think the texts that I sent to Natalie at 2am after finishing it will work:

Per me reading that epilogue again - "IM DEVASTATED ALL OVER AGAIN AND MY HEART ACHES"

Per me realizing I now have an entirely new Part 2 that I've never read before - "I don't think I'm strong enough for this but I'm too invested to stop myself now"

Per me also realizing that this fanfiction is canon and it's the Marauders so it can only end one way - "Oh this next season will simply be only pain and misery"

Per me after willingly rereading this fanfiction and now committing to finishing the entire work - "Natalie this is the most fucked up thing I've ever read you don't understand ... what kinda sicko thought this would be ok to write down"



Anywayyyyyy this is all I will be thinking about now and forever and I'm unwell and I'll never know peace again <3

4.5 stars. My first HP fanfic did not disappoint! This takes place during the Marauder days at Hogwarts. The slowest burn of my liiiiife and honestly the only reason it’s not 5 stars because it was very long and a tad bit repetitive at times. Other than that, I enjoyed the writing, I laughed a lot, and now I can’t stop thinking about Sirius Black.

Lowkey both the Black brothers though 😮‍💨

I LOVE THIS BOOK AND IT DESERVES SO MUCH MORE RECOGNITION. i read it about 6-7 times at least in the past 2 years and every time i eat it all up. it’s such a work of art. probably my fav sirius fanfic and even my fav fanfic at all. please, if you never read it, go read it.

Whoa, how can a fanfiction be this good? Seriously, I've never come across anything with such a killer writing style. It's mesmerizing, hilarious, and totally addictive. Reading the romantic parts made me feel like I was literally melting. Pure awesomeness!

I absolutely adore Sirius Black, Vivian Blair, and James Potter in this story. I finished it with a goofy grin plastered on my face and a desperate need for the sequel, Can't wait to dive into it!

One of the best fics I’ve read, could truly be a published book.
Vivian is such a fleshed out, compelling OC. The recurring themes about fate are amazing. I feel so bad for Regulus. Sirius’ poems are amazing (and so are James’ limericks). Remus is such a darling.
This was a great enemies to lovers slow burn. It feels sad knowing that they don’t end up happy and with the war going on around them. Also, everyone needs a friend like Gavin Clarke.
I can’t wait to read the sequel.

I cannot believe I’m saying this but this slow burn was wayyyyy too SLOW 800 pages before any type of relationship forms and when it did it didn’t hit as good as some other fics. But all that said the authors writing style is very poetic

The characters stay true to their "nature". I like it a lot. The fl is a badass cutie and Sirius is also very fun to read.
