I’m really sad to see this series end but as with all good things I guess it’s reached it’s conclusion. We’ve met most of the characters in the previous book but there are some new people that help the major characters develop in ways they may not have thought their lives would go. This family has been through so much and yet God isn’t finished with them. He keeps opening doors that they need to trust He wants them to go through. This story just keeps reinforcing the need to keep God first and to always seek Him out for His directions. This story really made me examine my own life and I’m sure it will do the same for you. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Wonderful

Another heart warming story, sadly the last of the series about the Goddard family. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book and am sad that their story is told. It was inspiring to learn how their stories unfolded and seeing how each family member came to rely on God for their future. Maggie and Frank are a wonderful example of how we can still be used by God at any phase of our lives if we are willing to submit to Him. Thank you for this series. I am going to miss the characters but am confident that Juliette Duncan will be back with yet another wonderful set in her next venture.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but this has in no way influenced my review which is fair and honest.

Beautiful book! I did not want this book to end, so I only allowed myself a couple chapter a night to savor the love of family and the love of Christ. Maggie and Frank took a trip and was unexpectedly cut short. Sean finally was able to prove himself to the family and himself, when he was left in charge of the station. Jannella dared to dream herself out of the box she placed herself in and became a certified chef. I laughed, and cheered and gasped throughout this book. When a major character was rushed to the Hospital, (not naming names, don't want to spoil anything) I had some very real and raw emotions. If you like clean, heartfelt books, I highly recommend 'Slow Trek to Triumph'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.

Maggie and Frank go on a trip to see as much as they can in 3 months. And they meet people that God sends their way and are blessed and a blessing. And back at the ranch, life continues and yet it changes — and the family there step up, step away, and grow. TOTALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK and I am sure you will too!!!

The changes at Goddard Downs continue. Joshua is stepping up and not only handling the regular chores of the station, but he is seeing other repairs that need done and sets a schedule for repairs. He is still fighting with his sister who is manageing the financial side of the business. Sean returns to the station to help out and finds himself drawn to Stella's friend Elizabeth. Serena and David have moved to the station and are helping out. Also Serena has started an outreach program for indigenous children in the hopes that she can help them by encouraging them to better themselves thru education and trips to the station. David comes up with a plan to build a bridge that would allow access to the station by road during the rainy season instead of having to rely on the helicopter. Now Maggie and Frank can go on their long overdue trip and set off in their caravan. Janella is doing better and has even agreed to looking into going to culinary school. So what could go wrong? Then as Frank and Maggie take a break from their travels to stay in a Hotel and dine out, Frank collapses and has to have emergency surgery. How will this affect the family?

This is definitely a series you need to read in order with this book bringing the family saga to a satisfying conclusion. I loved all the description of the amazing places Frank and Maggie visited on their holiday and would love to visit them myself. As well as being the follow up of people - who feel like much loved friends - that we met in the early books, we see how they are coping with their grief and in God's strength moving on to a new feature, this is Sean's story. We get to understand his journey from unbelief to trusting God, from no self esteem or hope to the future to becoming the person God wanted him to be. I received this book from the publisher but all thoughts and comments are my own.

What a beautiful conclusion to the Sunburned Land series. I absolutely loved this story which highlights the ebbs and flows of life, the seasons that we walk through, some good and some bad but all can be done with our eyes in God walking out His purposes. There are many lessons to be learned through this story of both periods of change in life and of stepping out in faith when God brings opportunities across our path. It reminded me that God brings good from all that happens. He only asks us to turn to Him, trust Him and to step out in faith. I highly recommend this series. Note a bonus in this story was the sight seeing trip Maggie and Frank went on that highlighted beautiful spots in Australia.

Juliette Duncan has written a fabulous book in "Slow Trek to Triumph"! The last book of A Sunburned Land series, this book can be read as a standalone. You will meet the Goddard family, learn to love them and be familiarized with their ranch, Goddard Downs . The character growth in this book is phenomenal as the characters struggle with issues with which we can all relate. Prayer, forgiveness and redemption are woven through the pages and the wisdom of God is often offered as advice, and it is wisdom that is applicable today. Ms. Duncan does an excellent job in concluded this series with a happily ever after that will leave you smiling long after you've finished the book.

What a wonderful end to the Sunburned Land series, although would be happy for more of this story! Following Frank and Maggie to a new season in their life lived for God reminds us that, at any age, new things are in store for us. Much to rejoice about with these well developed characters, and times to weep with them as well. Read snd enjoy the vivid descriptions of the area on Frank and Maggie’s journey, the busy life in an Australian cattle station and the satisfaction of seeing several characters come to a turning point and trust God for what lies ahead, at every age and stage. I received a copy from the publishers but all opinions expressed are my own honest reflections.

This is the last book in this series and it has to be my favorite. There are a lot of unexpected turns in this one. It continues with the Goddard family and their struggles and celebrations. This author is remarkable about fitting in inspirational quotes, prayers, and Bible verses. You just expect it of her characters. I would recommend that you read the other 4 books before you read this one. That way it will all fit together for you. But, do read them. You will be blessed.

A beautiful ending to a fantastic series. Juliette’s vivid descriptions of Maggie and Frank’s camping journey made me feel as if I was actually visiting Australia and seeing everything myself.

It’s sad to say goodbye to the Goddard family. I believe this has been my favorite series of Julliette’s. The way she weaves God’s presence into every day occurrences makes me want to whisper more heartfelt prayers and praise to our Father throughout my day.

It was so good to see Maggie & Frank hear and obey their calling from God. I’m thankful for the reminders in the story that God loves us and wants our love as well. Only then will we know inner peace. I hope you’ll enjoy this last journey in the Sunburned Land series as much as I did. A preview copy of this book was provided by the author but the review is entirely mine and was not influenced by the advanced copy.

I have loved this series and getting to know the Goddard family. I have suffered with them through their heartaches and joys. Juliette Duncan never disappoints for sure. This is no exception. It depicts the true meaning of trusting in God’s love and plans for us and spreading His message. The reader can’t come away without a desire to be more like Frank and Maggie in my opinion. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher, but all thoughts an comments are my own.

I really enjoyed how the last book in the series of the Gaddard family drew everything together but also left you to 'make up your own ending' for some of the characters. There are some very surprising twists in the story but you will have to read the book to find out what they are! I highly recommend this book and the entire series. Thank you Juliette Duncan for this inspiring series.

A Sunburned Land Series

No matter what, through the trials and tribulations, this family went through, they stuck together as a family. They kept focused on God and leaned on one another. I truly enjoying all the lives of the various people involved in the series. I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to hear about each person and how God worked in their life. You can’t go wrong with the series so give it a shot. It will further help your walk with Jesus daily.

What a ride it's been through the Goddard's lives. Each book was filled full of romance, struggles, and believing in God. This was a Christian series to the tee. So many references to God and how to let him into your life and how to trust him. I enjoyed all the prayers. They were spoken so basic but met the needs of those praying. Left me wanting to increase my own relationship with God. Great author. Will read some of her other books if I get the chance.

I really enjoyed reading this book! This book is about the whole family that sums up the story of the Goddard's and their ranch in Australia! It is a story that can read alone but is better if you have read the whole series! I love this author's writing! She tells a good story and it always has a lot of Godly influence. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love story!

This is the last book in this series. Frank and Maggie Goddard run a cattle ranch along with the rest of their family. This is a great story and I highly recommend this book. They decide to go on a second honey moon. They start off on a three month trip but Frank gets hospitalized. God is in control and they keep their faith in him. I received an ARC of this book.

The Goddard Downs family are truly amazing inspirational people. You will read about the adventures of Maggie and Frank, Sean with his low self a steam. God is the most important part of the family and they are always ready to help others. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

Slow Trek To Triumph

Loved reading this series by Juliette Duncan as they were all so well written and the story they told was a very interesting one to read. The bible verses could be used in our everyday life if we so chose to do so. This is my review and mine alone.Norma Gorrill

Slow Trek

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this! It made me laugh, made me think and brought tears to my eyes. I am sad this is the last in the series. I have enjoyed reading about the lives of Frank, Maggie and the Goddard family. I had hoped for one more book to explore Sean & Elizabeth’s lives and see how it would unfold.

Sunburned in love

This novel draws the reader into the story of a family so real that I couldn't help but be drawn into their tragedies and triumphs. These characters are not stereotypes. Rather they live true life with their faith and love for each other. They are dynamically as vibrant as the setting described throughout the telling of their story.

Wonderful

I loved this whole series! This is more along my age and the steps I have been traveling over the years! We are often hesitant to go to the next chapter of our journey and God is right there waiting patiently to lead us forward! Great story!

One of the best book you'll have ever read

I choose this rating because it was so full of adventure, so true of possibility, and yet so realistic about real life possibilities. It is full of tenderness and scary events. I was anxious to see whether Sean nd Elizabeth got married.

This challenges me to be more bold in my witness with family, friends and strangers. I’m not too old to make a difference. God still has a plan for my life in my later years.
