Easter: The Greatest News

Rate this book
We don’t like to think about death. It’s morbid and uncomfortable because if we’re honest, deep down, many of us are fearful about what will happen when our time comes.

But what if there was one who could take us through the door marked death with confidence? The story of Easter contains the greatest news – the answer to our biggest problem that will bring peace, assurance and freedom.

Easter means that death can be the doorway to the beginning of the most wonderful experience of our lives.

Paul Williams uses Peter's speech in Acts 2 to show how, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we can walk through the door marked "death" with the "total assurance of coming out the other side into glorious, joyful, eternal life in a beautifully restored relationship with God." There are 8 short chapters that go through the story of Easter, the evidence, and the right response. Generally, the language is clear and accessible, with some personal stories throughout. The length (70 pages) means this might be a bit much for some people (and there are some waffle-y sections), but this is a great resource to help Christians think about the good news and to give out to people who want to know more.

A simple retelling of the Easter message. Maybe slightly too long for an evangelistic tract but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
