The hot alien looks at me with lust in his eyes after I crashed on his ranch.
I just wanted to see the northern lights over Canada. I never dreamed I'd meet a human or even consider mating with one.
The hardworking rancher keeps to himself, a bigger mystery and a shroud of secrets surround him. I should walk away, fix my space vessel and leave. I should, but I'm compelled to stay, to learn the truth, to face something I thought impossible.
Falling for the alien on Earth takes me by surprise.
Will we overcome the obstacles in our way and fall into one another's arms? Or will we separate never to see one another again in the name of a bad past that comes back to haunt?
Thadora's Alien Gift: D'Kota is the sequel to the Alien Ice King's Gift.
This sequel in the Alien Gift series by Eden Ember is a quick-reading and very entertaining sci-fi romantic and action-adventure story involving the alien Thadora and the earthling D'Kota. While on her search for a mate as well as an escape from what she feels is a failed mating match, Thadora crashes her craft on D'Kota's ranch in the snowy wilderness of Canada. D'Kota himself is trying not to be found by anyone, let alone fall in love with a woman, and an alien woman at that. The characters are both able to look past the outer skin of each other and see the true personal beauty within, even as they fight for their physical survival. I liked that they were open to seeing each other as "People" and not aliens, which of course makes the falling love and eventual sex part much easier, to say the least. With D'Kota being hunted and Thadora now another potential victim, the big questions are: where do they go? How will they live? These and other questions will be answered by the author in short order. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
Every book comes to an end, but this story could have continued for a while! I have read several stories such as this one, but it is always a male alien that lands on Earth. In this case not and that made this story special.
The writing style makes it easy to read. The world around you clearly defined when D'Kota and Thadora are away from Earth and live on her world. Thadora described as an independent strong woman. Her passion for traveling through new worlds can be felt in the througk the pages. D'Kota always looking over his shoulders, living in fear that his existence will be betrayed in the witness protection program. He leaves little behind on earth when he follows his love for life into space. Exciting, romantic, surprising, well presented

I read a lot of these quick read, Kindle Unlimited novellas, and it is rare to be struck by something unique, or worth stopping to appreciate, but this one has that. Thadora falls in love with D'kota's heart, just as he falls for the real/genuine woman. He isn't concerned with the way she looks, he sees beyond the 'ready for the day' face to the core of her being.
I found myself falling for a character who didn't need a woman who had a certain look, who came across as saying 'who cares if you've put on make up?' or lipstick or whatever else. It was refreshing, in so many ways.
The characters were super flat, devoid of personality and lifeless. It was written as if an alien was writing an alien romance and did zero research to understand how humans interact. The dialog is so stilted and awkward. The story is super repetitive. If the main male character mentioned to the main female character one more time that she crashed in his field I was going to scream. He mentions it 5 times at least and she brings it up multiple times as well. Their conversations all seem to be rather circular. I would recommend this book to no one and I won’t be reading any other book that connects to it for fear of it also being an atrocity.
I love this author's writing style, easy to read, with some lighthearted banter, action, adventure, new friends, love and a rescue. Thadora and D'Kota are perfect for each other and has am intense attraction and chemistry. In this book Thadora is an alien female and crashes on D'Kota's ranch. I loved how honorable both are and they treat each other with respect while embarking on an epic adventure, Amazing Read highly recommended

A female alien crashes on Earth, while hunting for her mate.
Wanting to visit the Northern Lights, she goes North only to have her shuttle crash in the far Alaskan frontier, in the bush, close to the home of a man who is in witness protection from the Mexican cartels. It takes a while to fix the shuttle, and it's almost ready when strangers with Spanish accents start flowing through the North woods. Have the cartel assassins found him? Can Thadora find the last parts she needs to get them off Earth?
Fantastic alien sci-fi romance it’s about Thadora who wants to find her mate she has premonitions about him and that his name starts with a capital D so Thadora goes to earth specifically Canada but she crash lands in the snow. While being held at gun point she meets a human man called D’Kota then she remembers her premonition but D’Kota is hiding dangerous secrets. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This story is a bit of a flip - this time, she’s the alien, he’s the earthling. I found the dialogue a bit stilted, which took me out of the story. High hopes for a novel spin on the alien love story - while not wowed, this story was sweet.
