Mylo and Max Break the World

Rule #1: Never trust your wish guide.
Rule #2: Do not swing his magical wrench.
Rule #3: If your piano hops after you, RUN!

Ten-year-old Max Chu is desperate, but no one is listening. Max knows his music instructor is evil. He wants to humiliate Max at tomorrow night’s concert. Max would do ANYTHING to avoid the big stage. But when his last-minute wish attracts magical help, he might be forced to rethink that…

Mylo Zapp is not a wish guide. His magic is faulty, his business plan stinks, and he’s definitely not supposed to leave his home planet, Omnus, to take on risky new clients. But who can stop a born entrepreneur?

Fast-talking Mylo persuades Max he can fix up his life. Instead of facing his fears, Max can “twist” them away using magical tools. So why worry? Unfortunately, Mylo’s twists come at a terrible price. Now planet Earth is breaking apart. Reality is twisting out of control, and the music teacher Max begged to avoid becomes a real-life supervillain — an eight-foot-long, man-eating piano bent on world domination!

Max has never felt so afraid in his life. But when an evil orchestra kidnaps his sister, Max must finally confront his arch-nemesis, live on stage, in the biggest concert in Earth history. Can Max pull it together for one last performance — or will he become the hungry piano’s next meal?

This is a great book for approximately ages 8 - 14. What a great story about friendship, family, and siblings. And stage fright. Poor Max; this whole debacle starts because of his stage fright and snowballs into a planetary anomaly that he must fix to save the world (and his 'horrible' baby sister, Jess).
As the author stated in his afterword, there are some things that could be fleshed out a bit, but honestly, for kids who have notoriously short attention spans, it's pretty perfect. There are a LOT of exclamation points, which is difficult to ignore when you're a seasoned reader, but it makes sense in a kid's book. The sound descriptions were spot on, too, and very entertaining. Overall, this is a great read.

Mylo and Max Break The World will bring a smile to your face. When we we're young we all wanted some magic once in a while because we found ourselves in a situation we did not want to be in but there was no escape. You get the feeling. Then you get Mylo and what happens to him.

Never grow up to fast and always belief something magical can happen. And No, that won't be the answer to all your troubles, but life is not that boring any more I can assure you.

Read this lovely tail and get mixed up in a story that turns and twists and will keep you stuck to the pages until the end.

Fortunately this was a very good book. I like the Scott Charles horror books best. This was exciting and scary. It was almost better than Creeptown especially the ending. Thank you Kindle Unlimited.
