This is BY FAR the best CompTIA Security+ certification guide on the market. Prior to reading this book, I had zero IT background or knowledge and was only a few weeks away from taking my test.
After coming across this book, I finished it and passed the exam on my first try, just as the cover promised.
The book offers a comprehensive 'no-nonsense' approach with a laser focus on what will be tested, what content to expect, and remarkably accurate practice test questions.
If you have some IT background or none at all and want to become Security+ certified, this is the book for you.
This book did complement online video courses and helped me to pass the exam. However, some of the material looks to have been dated at the time it was written, and there are a surprising number of typos which can distract when studying.
Easy read, and I believe works well as an introduction to the Security+ contents. I do not believe that this book should be your only guide before the exam.
There is a lot of content repetition, which makes it easier to read without flipping back every now and then.
