Psalms for Contemplation Invitation to an Intimate Reading of Selections from 36 Psalms

Rate this book
Verses from The Book of Psalms translated and rendered with an ear for the language, history and usage for the poetry and song.
Max Ticktin (may his name be a blessing) hoped that Psalms would be studied and shared in the home and house of prayer. He believed that Psalms could be read, spoken, or sung any day and on special occasions.
Psalms for Contemplation includes selections from 36 Psalms; an introduction by his daughters, the editors - Deborah McCants and Ruth Ticktin; a preface by Edward Feld; a review by Lauren Strauss.

Max Ticktin's Psalms Collection is a beautiful, moving book full of love that makes one — certainly me — wish I had ceremony and ritual in my life and a community I could join in song. The photographs further illuminate.
