Not good

I have Ben reading fantasy harems ,science fiction and just about everything there is to get rid of reality T tines and what I have found amongst fantasy writers is a lack of research on mantle the things he and situations they present and as someone who has seen my share of combat over two.years in Vietnam thezen writers ,all present heroes and heroine with a severe lack of situatiinal.awareness . To be honest they make.the protagonist look stupid and in this book the author !kiled off his main harem master and suppossed hero . Who in the living hell does that and expects anyone who knows anything about survival in a combat situation . The writer and I will be damned if I would call him an author has them in hell where they could die at nay moment if they done pay attention and this writer killed his hero and wrote him as essentially not doing what any one would do ....go of by himself and formed am sure not paying attention to his situation . I would add that the writer has his hero as a man who knows how to fight but he has been injured more than anyone and the women saved bhai ass ....what a fucking heron.he can t fight and he dam sure can't pay attention to save his own life . oh yeah .I if he gets his bird to break his neck he will be recycled but where and she . its not the characters that is stupid ...its the dam fantasy writer. You had a decent story until you killed your hero and left his project ,his people open, to being taken over . I would suggest that even in fantasy you give your hero or heroin a brain . you forget that we as readers get involved in the characters and as a retired special pops soldier It is six sad to read a story where the writer has to hurt and kill so many good people because you project your stupidity and lack of knowledge into a hero who you have screwing up ........and during I cannot imagine just how stupid you will write up the hero when he wakes up the second time . I cannot magine how.stupid and how many injuries and of course a second death will happen in following books so if you don't mind seeing your hero die of pure stupidity then drive on. I digress.maybe this writer doesn't want his hero to be smart

I decided to give harem lit another shot. I'll say this: when it comes to being harem lit, this is pretty fun. It's not ALL just one guy (other couples in the group seem to be forming), and he's not by default some super badass, he just figures out the 'rules' quickly & acts on them. And where I stopped (maybe 20% in?), the sex seemed pretty believable & not ridiculous. And I liked that he got a little dragon-type pet.

So why did I stop? I just CANNOT enjoy the litRPG stuff. It seemed quaint & amusing back in the '80s, but my GOD is it just intrusive now. It made me care so much less about anything that happened. If you removed that element, I feel pretty certain I could have easily enjoyed the entire book. But points, stores, things magically appearing in your hand ... hell, I think I'd be fine w/it in a movie. But in a book it just reads SO TERRIBLY.

Ah well. I think it's good I got to check that I still couldn't stand litRPG stuff w/an author whose writing I enjoyed, b/c then I don't have to question if it's purely bad writing turning me off.

Good book

Super expensive. Unique apocalypse story. I wish the MCwas more decisive...brutal. He leaves way to many enemies alive that ALL have come back to try to kill him and his wives have to save him. Otherwise he is a great MC.
