Featuring The Bennett Family And An All-Star Cast William J. Bennett, John, Joseph and Elayne, Edward Asner, Claire Bloom, Barbara Bush, Dorian Harewood, Charlton Heston, Andrea Martin, David McCallum, Kate Nelligan, Tonya Pinkins, Richard Thomas
William J. "Bill" Bennett is a politician and author who served in the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations, as chief of National Endowment for the Humanities and later Secretary of Education under Reagan, and Drug Czar under Bush. He is a nationally well-known figure of political and social conservatism and authored many books on politics, ethics, and international relations.
These stories and poems were put together to teach children moral lessons. There are several narrators: William Bennett, and his sons, Barbara Bush, Charlton Heston, Kate Neiligan, Tonya Pinkins Richard Thomas, David McCullum, Andrea Martin, Dorian Harewood, Claire Bloom, and Edward Asner. I enjoyed the readings by different voices. Many of the stories were old favorites, such as: The Empires New Clothes, and The Midas Touch. There were poems I had never heard.
A nice collection of stories and poetry to reinforce values that we should be teaching our children. I am going to start reading these regularly to my kids.
