At the Lord Erwin Memorial Hospital in Raisingh Garh, an unauthorized drug trial on terminally ill cancer patients has gone horribly wrong. The patients are not humans anymore. They have turned into a ferocious breed of predators, hungry for blood and gore. The madness is not restricted to just patients but is spreading like fire. Everyone is falling prey to it.
That is not all. Since the hospital has been digitally locked down and there is nowhere to escape, the few survivors trapped inside are facing a nightmare like situation. Will they be able to escape the undead or become one of them? Will the nightmare end in the white corridors itself or will it be unleashed upon the unsuspecting town? Is it just an accident or the product of a terrible conspiracy?
Tighten your seatbelts and recite your favourite prayers before you enter the…DEAD PEOPLE’S TOWN!
I grew up on a steady dose of Robin Cook. Medical thrillers were my thing. Or so I thought...till Dr. Sid wrote this book. Zombie Horror story in a medical setting. What more do you want? Liked the plot, characters, layers of each character, credible back stories, and how he has wrapped it up all nicely. The cover is a winner all the way! Sends chills down the spine, eh. And I am an avid horror movie buff. Have watched them all but reading horror books was not exactly my thing. I was quite skeptical and unsure. What if it didn't hold my interest? Many what ifs followed...I sat down yesterday to give horror writing a chance. O boy! Must say, doctors can scare you with their writing prowess too...(you thought only by showing a bill!!) Dead People's Town is a good read, is racy and keeps you scared till the end...where another loop starts! And you really hope there is someone up there who can thwart these efforts. Great writing...a few places, the writing could have been tighter. It doesn't take away from the joy of reading this book.
Dead People's Town is a brilliant addition to books in the horror genre. The scene is a hospital and the characters are in a terrifying situation of trying to escape the clutches of the undead who slowly seem to be taking over the entire town. Is it an experiment gone horribly wrong or is it a sinister plot? Tales inside tales and a masterfully crafted plot make this book a totally engrossing read. The author has used his imagination to create a one of its kind, super scary novel. You could call it a trend setter in horror and my recommendation is 'go, buy and read it.'
Whether you are a horror fan or not, you will love 'Dead People's Town!' Masterfully plotted and told, this novel is pulsating throughout as the characters are thrown from one situation to the other, trying to stay alive in a hospital infested with the undead! Very interesting chracters with unique back stories make this novel even more engaging! The author Siddharth Nirwan has proven himself to be a fabulous horror writer with his previous books, but with 'Dead People's Town' he creates a new horror genre for Indian readers - Zombie horror! A perfect mix of all the ingredients that make an entertaining read, 'Dead People's Town' is indeed value for your time and money! Unputdownable!
Let me start by saying ‘DEAD PEOPLE'S TOWN’ by SIDDHARTH NIRWAN is a treat for horror story readers. ⠀ This book focused upon creating a feeling of fear in the readers, and I agree- the author succeeded. Zombie Horror story in a medical setting, was the perfect combination for me, what more could one need?
Sypnosis- “At Lord Erwin Memorial Hospital an unauthorized drug trial on terminally ill cancer patients goes horribly wrong and the patients are not humans anymore. They have turned into a ferocious breed of predators, hungry for blood. As the hospital has been digitally locked down and there is nowhere to escape, will they be able to escape the undead or become one of them?”
Characters are well-plotted and described, although picking favorites will be difficult for me. Language is fluid and easy to grasp.
I felt the purpose of this book was beyond twists and surprises, and more with the level of terror that the author instills in the reader. If you're a horror junkie who enjoys running from bad things and a ticking clock that is a metaphorical bomb and trusting your survival instincts, you need to read this book!
This line from the book is really frightening to some extent –‘ Outside the storeroom, there were still five undead roaming back and forth, as if on night watch.’
The ending was so good and poignant, Jayant, Riya, Suhail, - these three will live for some time in my head now.
Lock the doors, turn up the lights, and take a deep breath. A series of chilling moments await.
Set in a small town of Rajasthan, Raisingh Garh.
This book induces madness and despair among its readers with it spine tingling plot and fearsome description about the characters as well.
People of the town are struck in the deadliest situation as a medical trial in the hospital becomes erroneous. This leads to a dreadful catastrophe after which the real horrifying story starts to follow.
This is an interesting concept for a book and quite different from other horror stories I've read so far.
I have always felt that it takes a huge potential to choose the right sentences to begin and end a story. Just this simple credibility can turn the writing into a masterpiece and Siddharth Nirwan has indeed mastered this art in this book.
This was really interesting. It was disturbing, creepy, gory and at times sent shivers down my spine. And I enjoyed it thoroughly.
If you are a younger reader starting off on horror, this would be a good point to start.
Worth reading if you're a fan of catastrophic zombie stories.
Dead People’s Town by Siddharth Nirwan Book – Dead People’s Town Author- Siddharth Nirwan Format- E Book (Kindle) Type-Fiction (Horror) Rating- 4/5
Riya's heart paced. Suhail and the others had left long ago and there was no sign of their return. She prayed to God that he and the others be alright, and that the glass door doesn't open at all. But God had been on a vacation in Hawaii since the break of dawn today. A creaky noise appeared, and the inevitable happened.
Dead People’s town is a beautiful horror fiction jotted down by Mr Siddharth Nirwan. In a state of forts and mansions, author managed to draw a horror environment in the hospital. Story pertains to horrific incidents happening at a hospital in a village in Rajasthan after a medical research experiment on curing cancer disease turns into converting humans into devils. This reminds me about the news that Scientists succeed in research of using of protein antibody conjugates to manage the efficient delivery the drug to the cancer cell via nanoparticle.
There are certainly lot of take-away in this book due to inherent nature of the plot. The main take-away is that one lesson which today’s human is ignorant of repercussions that a few scientific research may have. While it is necessary we build and innovate on new heights and lands, it is also a imperative that we forecast, and minimise the risks which the new innovations and research brings.
Other Things I liked in this book were- 1. Language of the book is easy and comfortable. 2. Narration style was astonishing. 3. Book cover was good. 4. Characterization was portrayed well. 5. Plot development and execution was remarkable. Story was very connected at all ends. 6. Depiction of horror is worth noting. However, logical reasoning was missing in the storyline. 7. Book was small without unnecessary details.
There was nothing in this book, which I disliked particularly. Overall book was a good read and I recommend it for horror lovers.
Have you ever felt wanting more after watching a zombie movie? Have you felt that a bookish adaptation would have carried a lot more potential? Siddharth Nirwan's 'Dead People's Town' is one such book that will satisfy all our wants regarding zombies.
Set in a small placid town of Raisingh Garh, the story recounts the fictional event of the effect of a drug Teluximab going wrong, which results in turning of people into vile zombie like creatures. The event which starts when a desperate father injects his cancer affected daughter with the drug hoping for a rapid cure, takes a horrible turn when the drug makes the girl aggressive and soon chaos starts with the girl biting co-patients, hospital stuff and doctors infecting the effects into other people. The hospital becomes the hotspot for chaos as only a few individuals battle it out against a horde of zombies seeking for their blood.
The narrative is very fast paced with the author giving us doses of thrill from time to time. The race for survival is intricately penned and reflects how humanity struggles in such desperate times. Simultaneously we see human relations in a new light , the father-son or the father-daughter relationship is so vividly penned through some characters that the efforts of the writer is laudable. The ending of the book leaves us with still more questions. The author has left the story open for a further sequel and I hope it comes out soon to satisfy all our queries.
A decent plot that surely seeks further visibility in the book market, 'Dead People's Town' is one awesome tale that you will not get bored of!
Dead People’s Town by author Siddharth Nirwan is a spook fest like never before in Indian literature. Not only literature, bit with the exception of the horror comedy “Go Goa Gone”, zombie stories have never been explored much in Indian popular culture. The story narrates a ghastly zombie apocalypse that occurs in the small town of Raisinh Garh when a medical experiment on terminally ill cancer patients go horribly wrong in Lord Erwin Memorial Cancer hospital. Being a doctor himself the author has masterfully described the genesis of the zombie epidemic and made it sound realistic. The references to different kind of viruses and their nature, the vaccines and antidotes and the medical procedures have been interestingly portrayed. The characters are well sketched and relatable. Micky and Riya are the most likable characters in the book and as a reader I was praying that they can overcome the horror in front of them. The character of Hari and Ashok appeal to you with their shades of grey. You will remember their traits even after completing the book. The side track of Sophie and Rosita are very interesting and seemed to be straight out of any foreign Netflix series. It is right up that genre. The book makes you feel scared at times and even cringe at some gory descriptions. The ending is open ended and left to the reader’s imagination. The author has also done well to pay homage to popular horror books and movies by referring them suitably in the narrative. My verdict is 4/5 stars.

I would like to appreciate the author for great work and would definitely like to recommend it. . 🐳For me, it was a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌠/5 read.
The plot of the book is quite unique with a zombie horror set in India. The details are gory and Siddharth has used his medical training to explicitly focus on the injuries and the biting. Another thing that the book is specific about are the medical terms and Siddharth’s medical training jumps out from it. This add a wonderful layer of authenticity to the entire plot. The storytelling is excellent and the book is quite fast paced with each page making the reader turn to the next. While the overall impression of the book is decent, there are things that could have been improved. The first point that didn’t work for me was the quite a number of loose ends that the plot has. Second thing that I had an issue with was the lack of the tension in the plot that should have had. The climax was interesting, but it makes sense only if it has a sequel lined up. Otherwise, the plot still hangs in the lurch.
Coming to the characters, Siddharth takes his time and each of the major characters get a proper time to establish themselves. I loved the character of Dr. Hari and his motivations to do what he did. Anjali’s character was someone thought would go in a different arc. The character of Rosie was interesting, but I felt she was underutilized and could have had another way that it developed. The arc of a lot of the characters was left hanging and I would have loved to see more of them being used in the plot.
Dead People’s Town by Siddharth Nirwan is everything I expected and more! It is full of thrills and chills, and while reading the book, you will feel the anticipation and trepidation of the characters as if you are there in the story. There are a lot of positives in the book, the most important being that it is the first zombie thriller by an Indian author. And mark my words, Dr. Siddarth will definitely inspire enough authors out there that it will not be the last. What was the most interesting part of the book to me was that the real horror was reserved for the end, and without giving away any spoilers, I would just like to say that it sent a chill down my spine. Now don’t get me wrong, there are enough scares and thrills throughout the book and there are moments where you will literally be biting your nails. There is even a slight Robin Cook feel to Dead People’s Town, and Dr. Siddharth throws in enough technical lingo throughout the book that it made me wish that I had pursued medicine as a career! Though this can also be a bit of a drawback, but it depends entirely on the reader. The characters are well sketched out, but I would personally have preferred longer interactions between the different characters once the zombies took CenterStage. Overall, I would give it a 4 star rating, and would definitely recommend you to check it out.
The book "Dead people's town the end begins now" by Author Siddharth Nirwan is a fantastic story with some curious and filled with thrilling moments. I never read such a thrilling story. DEAD PEOPLE'S TOWN The End Begins Now! is a mind blowing book written by Siddharth Nirwan. I have read a few books in horror genre. Among the ones which I have read, I liked this one the most after The Black Door by Raj Abhishek Singh and The Ghost Of The Silent Hills by Anita Krishan. Well, coming to this book, the story is all about a small village namely, Raisingh Garh situated in Rajasthan. The author in the beginning has written magnificently about the beautiful Raisingh Garh and its hospital, restaurant and the police station. The story takes turn when a very desperate father tries everything possible to save his daughter from fatal disease, Cancer. In Erwin Memorial Hospital, an illegal drug test was taking place. Hari, the desperate father injected the unauthorised injection to save his daughter. This incident proved to be a huge turnaround as the normal humans turned into ferocious blood thirsty beasts. Read this interesting book to know what happens next and how the villagers save their lives. Overall, this book is very nicely written in easy to understand language. The book has elemnts of horror, thrill, mystery and adventure, which make it a must read. I would recommend it to everyone!!

I just finished the book and thought it was an extremely entertaining and eerie read. The plot of the story has been well thought and the story would even make you wonder why and how did this happen. When an unauthorised drug trial on cancer patients goes wrong at the Erwin Memorial Hospital, all the ill cancer patients turn into horrible predators and they spread all over the town. how far the people will go to save themselves or their loved ones? Author's writing is assured and confident, the story never less than compelling, and the growing dread and horror is all consuming. I had to take a break reading this novel because it was just so intense. Great, horrific stuff.
I'm a big fan of novels where fiddling with science causes a little bit of upset. Or, indeed, a lot of upset. Books (and movies) where scientific experiments have taken a deadly turn are super creepy because, it really seems like it could happen. THIS book is what a visceral tale of survival horror means, the foundations are nicely set, the adventure is a spectacularly bloody one. As science-goes-wrong novel goes, this is one of the best.

The book is a thriller horror involving terminally ill cancer patients becoming untamed beasts who are connected in an invisible thread which brings in a great gripping touch to the book.
Just through its initial look, anyone can have a notion that it's going to be immensely intriguing. Honestly, the book kept its promise. The story is not at all bland and comprises of a twisted plot concocted in the shell of thrill. The author has tried to incorporate elements like the vivid description of attacks which people stuck in the hospital faced. The characters in the book have been crafted with much insight, and each of them holds a different surprise. Diversity in the plot is evident within the framework of the story. The pace of the story is balanced with right amounts of halts and acceleration. The book is a recommended read given the fact its editorial aspects and sequential writing style is almost perfect! The book can be read by anyone who loves thrill one beyond the other with the majesty of horror, terror and suspense!
The book "Dead people's town: the end begins now" by Author Siddharth Nirwan is an amazing piece of work. The book is literally spooky and spine chilling. This is one of the best thrilling and horror experiences I have ever had.
The story is about Erwin Memorial Hospital in Raisingh Garh where few humans were fighting for the survival. In that Hospital an unauthorized drug trial was going on. The drug trial went wrong due to which the humans turned into aggressive and ferocious blood thirsty beasts. What happened after this?? Will they escape alive or will they turn into the same beast??
The plot of the book is mind blowing and the author has done tremendous job. The suspense and spookiness is maintained throughout the book. The storyline has made the book an absolute page turner and gripping. The language is advanced yet easy-going. The title and cover is intriguing.
Overall a highly recommended read for all the thriller and horror lovers. I was enthralled by the experience however i expected more haunting atmosphere but the book was yet a masterpiece.
Dead People's Town: The end begins now is a mesmerizing book written by Siddharth Nirwan. Basically it is a book in horror genre. I have read a few books in this genre and I like watching movies and web series on it. The story is set in small and sleepy town namely, Raisingh Garh, where people's life didn't have any sort of complications. The author has given wonderful description in the book. I really liked the way the characters are portrayed. Each and every character has its own importance. A desperate father namely, Hari injects an unauthorised injection to her daughter in order to revive her from deadly, Cancer. This turns out to be a huge turnaround as she turned into an altogether different creature. This thing spread like a virus and many people were becoming a prey to it. Now to know whether the prople living in Raisingh Garh would be able to save themselves from this or not, you should definitely read this book. It is a wonderful blend of horror and thrill and would surely send chills down your spine. Read it if you like reading books in horror genre!
Its rare to find really spine chilling thrillers. One that actually gives you the creeps through out the book. Many a times, the books have a great start that makes you curious to read more but eventually you are left either utterly disappointed or dissatisfied. So when you finally gett to radone great book in such genre, it leaves you thrilled.
The author did a great job in keeping the reader hooked as well as making the reader believe in what they are reading. The plot being a medical thriller is like a nice dessert with the addition of the whole zombie thingy added to the storyline is like cherry on top. But it the way the story is presented to the reader that brings it all together.
The sudden shocks, the twists and turns, everything has you on edge. Its totally unpredictable which always acts as the biggest plus for any thriller. Al the characters are strongly built and rightly place in the already strong storyline. An absolute page turner. You all horror and thriller lovers out there gotta try this one!
Book :- Dead people's town Author :- Siddharth Nirwan
Dead people's town is absolutely worth reading. It has many elements that will hook you to the climax, that is the best climax I have ever read in any book. Writer Sid has brought all characters to life in this book. The setting of this story is in a small town Raisingh Garh. At lord Erwin memorial hospital, an unauthorized drug trail on terminally ill cancer patients goes horribly wrong and the patients are not a human anymore. They have turn into other breed and Re hungry for blood. Everyone tries to escape and find a way to be alive. Will they all overcome this situation? Will they be able to survive? Read the book to get the answers to such questions. The characters are well developed and described by the author. Language of the book is easy. For me, it was like watching a zombie movie, but far better than a movie If you like horror and climax, then definitely go through it. Kudos to the author!! Happy reading!!
"A bite. Few seconds. Have a nice day." That's how fast it spreads. The zombie apocalypse is not far away.
When Anjali, Dr. Hari's only daughter becomes a victim of the deadly disease cancer and becomes totally bedridden, Dr. Hari becomes desperate to find a cure and he finds one eventually...or did he? It's an unauthorised drug but he does'nt have any option right? When research showed results that could cure her, he finally saw ray of hope and decided to apply it on his daughter. But...
The drug was indeed working. Working the wrong way.
What starts after that is a horrifying massacre. The drug which was meant to cure cancer turned them into bloodthirsty predators and slowly turning the once serene town into a dead people's town. But, is it all because of a drug or is their a conspiracy working behind all of these? Read to find it out !!! The author has done a great job in stirring horror and fear into the readers mind by creating a gut-wrenching atmosphere.
Dead Peoples Town is a fictional narrative of a conspiracy to create a Zombie Apocalypse
The novel starts of with a series of sad stories that have nothing to do with each other. Each story is described in too much detail which was not really necessary. The language in the entire is quite perfect. I did find a couple of phrases translated from Hindi. Once the part regarding the Zombie Apocalypse starts, it just goes on and on. The same events have been repeated. The book becomes a little boring in the middle. I was not satisfied with the climax. The climax did not tell us how the spread was contained or controlled.
The actual story is in the Epilogue. I feel the zombie incident has been overemphasized and other things have been omitted. The topic had a lot of scope but the scope was not completely explored.
Overall, it is a nice book for fans of the horror genre especially those who enjoy zombie fiction.
It's a horror book regarding zombies. The plot has been set up in Raisingh Garh, where in a hospital, an illegal drug testing has been done on terminally ill cancer patients. But somehow the testing gone wrong and all the patients are transformed into blood sucking predators. This is my first book on zombies. I've read multiple horror before but this one was little different. It wasn't about ghosts or paranormal activities, it was about zombies. I must say it was thrilling and made me panic at some situations but on the other hand I disconnected at some points. Apart from this , I really liked the book and its cover. The title is very much appropriate and the characters were strong enough. The plot was good and language was easy. I'm impressed by the writing style of the author. So to know more what happened to the hospital , and people there , you just need to read it. Grab this book and find all the answers to your questions.
😨SYNOPSIS: The plot is set in Lord Erwin Memorial Hospital in Raisingh Garh, wherein an unauthorised medical drug trial is being drived to cancer patients. But what will happen to the patients, will it be conducted successfully. But things turned otherwise the medicine has been reacted and people turned into zombies. And entire village is getting dreadful. The plot and description of the character all sublime and well versed.
😨NOVELTY: The plot of the book is indeed a highlight and unique thing for me. One of the reason to choose this book to read.
😨GUESSWORK: This book has written by weaving great elements which is not a regular site to read in book. Thus this book is indeed a page turner for me .
😨LANGUAGE: Language has been kept easy and fluid.
😨FINAL CALL: Undoubtedly I loved the plot as it has such a unique element added to it. Would recommend this book to all horror lovers.
Dead People's Town? Doesn't that sound bizarre? It pretty much does and hence I thought of giving it a read.
When an unauthorized drug trial was carried on terminally ill cancer patients it created havoc all around with patients becoming unruly. Worse, it was contagious.
The author being a doctor himself has seized the opportunity to present something at par more like sci-fi with a tint of horror. Oh my my, that makes it so realistic. Besides, the narration is good enough to keep you on your toes to know 'what next?'
Out of all the characters, I admire Micky the most and Hari, a part of me still thinks of him, even after completing the book. The selection of words is just too coherent. Syncs so well with emotions. Surviving through a pandemic, the book has made me feel the horror in the persisting circumstances.
One of the finest horror stories I came across. Which is an out of the box concept and stating not all horror stories includes zombies and vamps. I have read previous books by the same author which was worth the read and applause.
Dead people's town is all about the patients in the hospital the people who are in the hospital turning into venomous and enormous beings
The concept is totally different in the medical state of situation where as getting the concept of Erwin Memorial Hospital, Raisingh Garh where humans are not only fighting for survival but also turning to another creatures.
The author has kept in mind the reader's point of view also by not keeping them bored rather hooked till the end with this haunting plot .
