Years ago her best friend betrayed her. Now she needs a favor from the wedding planner…but what is the personal price of forgiveness?
A fractured friendship creates new problems for Rachel, the Tybee Island wedding planner. When the daughter of her college roommate asks for help planning her wedding, Rachel is thrown into turmoil. In college Tammy had stolen the heart of Rachel’s forever man. Joshua Pennington and Rachel had plans for a future with a large family. The two women haven’t spoken in years, and Rachel has remained single and childless. Why does Nicole, a heartbreaking replica of her mother, come to her now?
Upset and confused, Rachel turns to her new friends, Julep and Sylvia, for support. In their book group, the three discuss life, love and family bonds more than literature. With so much going on, Julep calls a time out with Griff Sanders, the attractive veterinarian who’d brightened her holidays.
While Rachel considers saying no to Tammy and her daughter, Nicole quickly wins her heart. Something isn’t quite right. Tammy hides a secret that could change Rachel’s life. Meanwhile, plans for Rhett Tucker’s marriage to Esper stall. Feeling guilty about her motherly meddling, Julep finds comfort in creating seashell wreaths for her guests.
Julep’s daughters Whitney and Lulah help their mother establish her bed and breakfast, Julep’s Inn. But she can’t help worrying about Whitney’s attempt to reconcile with her ex, or Cassie’s new classes, which irritate her husband no end.
This heartfelt Tybee Friends Forever series explores the bonds of friendship, the foundations of love and healing a woman’s past. This is book 2 in a series of 5 books.
Three friends find a sounding board in one another as they meet over books and tea. Tension is building in this episode of the Wedding Planner as Julep is still avoiding dealing with her feelings regarding Griff and a painful surprise from the past blows into Rachel's life. Finding that she cannot control the outcome of every situation, Rachel turns to her friends to discuss the tensions she is observing in the young couples needing her help. All the while, Julep's family is causing her concern as she observes the changes taking place in their lives. I am thoroughly enjoying this serial novel, as the friends blow off steam, support one another, and work through their dilemmas, against the backdrop of the rolling waves. I received a copy of this episode of the story as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
We are back on Tybee Island and this part of the story starts with Rachel, Julep and Sylvia having a Girls’ Night. That’s probably the last time life is calm, especially for Rachel and Julep! I’d like to say that I have this story all figured out but… I think they only thing I can be sure of is that I’m probably VERY wrong. Just when I thought everyone was getting settled, well, let’s say the ocean kicks up some waves.
Rachel is dealing with a new client who has ties to her own past. She meets up with an old frenemy and tries to navigate helping her client without interacting with the frenemy Mom. Yeah. Pretty fun to read!
Can’t wait to read what’s next. As I said, I probably have what happens next all wrong but I can’t wait to find out!
Book two continues the saga of Rachel, the wedding planner. The writing is great and so are the characters. Will Rachel really be able to help Nicole with her wedding now that Tammy is in the picture? Will Julep ever go out with Griff again? What about Julep's kids? Will they ever get settled? Come on, Laura, I want my questions answered! 🤔. I know, stay tuned to part three because this story is far from over. So sit back, relax and enjoy this heartwarming series of loving family and friends!
In book 2 of The Wedding Planner, the ladies - Rachel, Julep and Sylvia - continue their supportive friendship and their book club. Julep continues to worry about her children's relationships. Rachel is tormented over helping Nicole, daughter of the woman who stole Rachel's forever man. Rachel knows Nicole is hiding something. This is small town love, friendship and support at its best.
