She was the life sentence I never knew I needed...
Raised to be ruthless as well as empathetic, everything in life has always come easy for Jaxon. Too easy, for his liking. As commander of the vampire army, he is equally admired as he is envied, not that he cares. So when his King announces a competition for an illusive yet 'immense' prize, Jaxon jumps at the chance of a challenge. Never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined that this would only be the beginning of a journey he couldn't have prepared for.

Until the night a dark and dangerous being comes for her, turning her world on its axis. Testing her resilience and pushing her to embrace both of the monsters lurking within. Will she survive the tests that life is about to throw at her and find a place to finally belong?
The books in the Moon Bound series can be read as standalone M/F romances, but will have a lot of character cross-over throughout. Due to dark themes and adult content, this romance is only recommended to readers aged eighteen or over.
Abigail Cole is a married mum of two, and a serial daydreamer. As a huge fan of fantasy romance novels for the past 7 years, she has finally decided to put pen to paper (finger to keyboard doesn't sound as poetic) and begin to write her own.
As a child, life was moving around the UK and a short stint in the Caribbean, before Maddison has found herself back in the south east of England where she is now happily settled. With a double award in applied arts and an A-level in art history, Maddison is just your average musical-loving, Disney-obsessed, jive-dancing woman with a dark passion for steamy fantasy books.
A really great first book from an up and coming author! I'm a sucker for paranormal/shifter romance and this did not disappoint! Our main MCs were not the usual "perfect, smooth skin" characters, they both were incredibly unique with our lead female having amazing dreadlocks and many tattoos along with our leading male have a long braid and being covered in tattoos, it was nice to have a change! The writing was beautifully done and very easy to follow and be absorbed into and the same goes for the world. The plot I enjoyed but I would have liked it more if it had slightly more background and our villain/villains had a bit more "umph" to them. The epilogue for me was a little underwhelming as usually an epilogue is a bit of time after the end of the book whereas this one I felt like it could of just been another chapter as the events that occurred were literally straight away after the previous one. Yes I know that it gives us an insight to The Privileged Heir and that is absolutely fine but I would have liked an epilogue where we see how Iona and Jax settle into their new roles and married life a few weeks after the end of the book but maybe we get to find all of that out in book 2! All in all a really great first debut from Abigial and I would definitely recommend ☺️
