Forever is a long time for a vampire… but is all that about to change for Lailah?
Lailah’s neighbour, Loulou, is well known for hosting wild, extravagant events, so as Lailah heads over there for the much-anticipated annual Halloween bash, she thinks she’s prepared for pretty much anything. Soon after arriving, though, she discovers Loulou has outdone herself—and presented Lailah, who, as well as being an actual vampire, has come in fancy dress as one, with the opportunity to have a little joke at her own expense.
What Lailah’s not prepared for, however, is the appearance of three gorgeous men in uniform. Their out-of-place getup piques Lailah’s curiosity, and as polite conversation turns to flirtation, Lailah gets the weirdest feeling nothing is ever going to be the same again.
But how will Luke, Leo and Jack react when they discover Lailah’s vampirism isn’t just for Halloween?

Why the rush??? I really enjoyed this book at the beginning. Lailah is going to her neighbour loulou’s Halloween bash so she dresses up as a vampire well that’s not really dressing up is it if you are a vampire but you can see the irony in it. When she was checking out all the hiding place that Loulou had put in her home she scared three guys by jumping out of a Coffin. Luke, Leo and Jack are dressed in Army uniforms and they looked hot. As the night wore on they got talking Lailah understood that they were going off on tour. There was an instant attraction between all of them and when the lads ask if she could see a future with them all together as a unit it’s up to Lailah to answer. I enjoyed the time that they were at the party and even when the lads come home it was good but then it just totally felt rushed and I didn’t understand why it had to end so quickly it put a real downer on it for me which is such a shame because I enjoyed all of it until then and it was just like I was just like but nothing more to say I don’t know it’s such a shame.

Hiding in plain sight is the best way to go in this modern age. Lailah slips into her neighbour's Halloween bash as herself... a vampire. When she plays up her vampy costume, she catches the eye of not one, not two, but THREE men. Luckily they are all friends who like to share.

I really enjoyed the story and was in to it, then it gets to the big reveal and suddenly right after ends. It felt abrupt and made it feel really jarring. That end took away from the whole experience of the rest of the story. I would have liked it to continue on just a little bit, so the end felt more natural.

Nice vampire 3 ½ stars - This has to be the most amiable vampire I've ever read about. She helps out during party clean-up. She is very considerate of others’ feelings. I think I prefer a badass vampire instead. The story has potential. It could be longer and with more background story for the 3 army guys. It could definitely use more steam and adventure, separate or together. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short story about Lailah who is a vampire attending a Halloween party. She meets Luke, Leo and Jack and she is attracted to them all. She might send them running when they find out what she is. This was a good story but ends quickly.

This was a fun quick RH read that allowed a true vampire to attend a Halloween party - dressed as a vampire ;) Such a fun concept and I have to say things went in a different path than I was expecting. No harsh draining of people, just a fab connection with 3 guys. Grab this one if you want to see where it goes from there ;D
I love Lucy's work! The only thing that made me sad was that the story wasn't longer! I could have listened for many more hours. I adore how Lailah is an unconventional vampire. She is caring, helpful & sweet. This is a great Halloween or vampire lover's story. I highly recommend, you can't go wrong with Lucy's works of art!
This is a great book about vampires that brings them Into a new light and makes you rethink what you knew from past books and gives you a different perspective

I enjoyed this from the beginning. This has interesting characters, I would have liked to read more about. The ending was a bit rushed but overall this is a great read.
This is the fourth short story (and my personal flavorite) that I’ve read by Lucy Felthouse. Victorian Gothic, Halloween, buff guys, and vampires? Oh-hell-yes. Sign me right up for some of that.
The story is mostly set up, though it does a better job of it than the others I’ve read. It really leaves you in suspense, waiting for the final payout.
One of the best parts of the story is the final credits when the message from the authors says; share this with your friends, relatives, colleagues, etc. I don’t have any friends, my colleagues are relatives and my relatives are illiterate. I recommended it to my mate because he loves Halloween and Gothic Victorian settings as much as I do. But I won’t be reporting back how that turns out. 😉
The narrator is incredible. She really does a great job at bringing Lailah to life… or undeath or whatever.
This one is definitely worth a read (or listen).

Lailah is at her neighbor's Halloween party. She is an actual vampire, so, as a little joke, she is dressed as one. She meets three men in army outfits. Immediately, the men are attracted to Lailah and are willing to share her. Lailah develops real feelings for all three men, but how will they react when they discover she is a vampire?
I enjoyed this audiobook at the start, during the Halloween party. I started to get bored in the middle. My interest peaked again when the men found out that Lailah was a vampire, but that was it.
I really enjoyed this short vampire read. Lailah attends her friends halloween party where she meets 3 guys. This book ticks the boxes of a sultry cheeky read to quencg the palette, Lailah has instant attraction to the 3 gentlemen which i can understand the fast paced relationship between them. I would have loved more development but still a good read.
A quick read with a lot of potential. This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed it. If she ever gets a chance to rewrite this novella into a full length novel, I think it could be a really interesting and spicy story.
Very much enjoyed this book but it felt very rushed and I found myself wanting more at the end. It kinda felt like it ended on a cliffhanger and I really wanted another book. Great story line but could easily have been drawn out into a duology or even a trilogy
I enjoyed this one. It seems like a standalone, however, it could be turned into a series of the author was so inclined. I like the ironic costume choice for Lailah’s party costume.
Not a bad read. Very fast. Lacking in character development. Definitely more of a novella. I would have liked a full novel on this instead of a novella.
A quick read / listen. This read / listen falls under an insta / reverse harem romance and is fast paced but fun. A perfect Halloween read. A vamp who's just your ordinary girl next door but loves the irony of living in a home that looks very much like what it truly is - a vamp den - meets 3 hunky guys at a neighbors party - but as they go off on mission - is this inital lustful meeting all that there will be for this vamp and her trio or are they destine for a hea?!? I adore the narration - a British accent is always so much fun to listen to as well as a smooth listening quality - perfection!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review *this review is based on the audio version of t his read
For a short story, I really liked it. Lailah was a sweet, vampiric, fmc and I enjoyed her interactions with her friend and the guys. I liked the way the guys didn’t beat around the bush and their interactions felt natural, considering it’s a novella and there’s not a lot of time to deal with things. The downside to a novella is that the s*x scene was approaching a “fade to black” and I think the final resolution was a bit rushed. But I really liked the characters and story; I think it would absolutely be worth coming back to and expanding. I’d love to see where they all go from here.
This was a short read, but very enjoyable. Lailah is a vampire, attending a neighbours Haloween party, as a vampire, when she meets 3 guys. They guys and Leilah are all attracted to each other, and rather than have to choose, they all wantto date her. I enjoyed the banter between these chracters, and even though the book isn't long, you get to know them fairly well. The story is sweet and also steamy.
Audio - Ella Lynch does a great job of narrating, and I always love listening to an Englsh accent.
Great morning read to avoid laundry 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wanted a something to listen to while starting my day and this was a wonderful pick. Lailah has survived centuries as a vampire and one night turned her afterlife on its heels. Not one but three to keep her satisfied and she doesn’t have the urge to bite.
It's better than a vampire dressing is a vampire going to a Halloween party… Add three guys that's what. Add in an instant attraction. The best part of the book had to do around their interaction at the party. Before the guys leave after that I think it may have been a bit rushed I would've liked to seen More character building in their relationship getting to really feel like I know all the characters if that would've been done I would've given it five stars.
Audio 🎧 Spice 🌶️ This book is definitely YA dipping its toes into the RH scene. The writing was almost falling short and I felt like it was quite rushed. It was very much instalove for all characters involved but there just seemed to be a heavy focus on her being a vampire and not knowing what to keep in the house to keep her secret . For someone who’s been alive for hundreds of years, you would think she would know, especially with human friends. I didn’t love the narration either.
Quick read or quick listen in my case. This is a novella that was part of Duty Bound with Bite anthology. A quick RH read with our FMC as a vampire and then men are human. Lailah going to her neighbors famous Halloween party as a vampire even though she is one. There she meets Luke, Leo and Jack. They are very handsome men in uniform. They get to talking and flirting. Will they freak out when they find out she’s a real life vampire?
