This ia a collection of 35 well-designed road trips, written by motorcyclists for motorcyclists, but nearly as nice when taken by car. The rides are beautiful, each in their own way. They are categorized by U.S. region, so there is something for everyone, no matter the location. Regions include the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, the South, the Rocky Mountains, and the West.

Riders understand that its not the destination, its the journey that matters, and each of the trips described in this volume is accompanied by photographs illustrating the beauty of the ride. Topographic maps are also included, as well as point-to-point directions. The book also addresses more mundance matters, such as packing, touring, and riding tips.

I'll let you in on a secret understood by the editors and writers of the AMA...and most touring bikers. The best ride is the one you are going to do next. Make it one of these and you won't be disappointed.

Great little book for winter nights or busy weeks when you can't get out and ride. I live in Alabama, and the closest rides in here are at least 2 states away, so it isn't nearly comprehensive. But is has good basic packing and touring info in the front, and then lots of colorful pictures and routes of some great motorcycle rides. 31 rides are described, each about 150-230 miles.
