Dramatic, Mushy, Complicated Love.

Rate this book
Meadow Lavender Tessler. Yep, that’s my name believe it or not. My parents may be strange, but they raised my sister, younger brother and me to be independent, strong and to be our own people. Add to those qualities, I was also a tad dramatic, slightly complicated and a whole lot mushy. Whatever. I like who I am.
Love has not been mean to me, but neither has it been kind. Until one day, when a hot sexy spunk with a smirk that lit me up from the inside caught my attention. Luca quickly became my everything. Yes, we had issues here and there, and yeah, his family hated me, but love always won out in the end. Right?

Luca Massimo Donatella. I was name for my father and my grandfather, raised to be as great as them. Family always came first, my mother the most important being in my life. Until a blonde stunner came sashaying into my life and flipped it on its head.
Meadow broadened my way of seeing life, she showed me fun was just as important as being responsible . She gave me the chance to be the man I always wanted to before life got complicated by the death of my father. She taught me how to love from the deepest part of my heart. She was my game changer. Then the game dramatically changed in a way neither of us saw coming.

I love romance. I read constantly. Seriously it’s an obsession. I started reading romance at 12 years of age and haven’t stopped since. My mind is always thinking of new story lines, new alpha’s that will capture their woman’s hearts. I’m in love with love.

What a different type of story for this author! This was the first book in a standalone for Leah, and it’s definitely different than her typical books – but it had me hooked! Luca has finally got some freedom going away from home for college, where he doesn’t have to live up to the expectations his parents have instilled on him, but one call changes everything and the death of his father has him transferring close to home and taking over the family business thanks to the guilt trip from his mother. Meadow has grown up as a free spirit thanks to her hippie-style parents, and while she’s grown up to develop a happy medium between the two styles, she’s definitely more laid back than most. Meadow and Luca are pretty opposite in personality and background, but when the sparks fly instantly they both decide to take a chance. As their relationship develops, Luca falls in love with Meadow’s family and the environment they have made for themselves, but Meadow has yet to meet Luca’s family. But when they meet, it’s instantly a bad situation and only continues to get worse, until Meadow finally has enough and leaves Luca. Thankfully, Luca starts to understand what was going on behind the scenes how his family was acting and treating not only Meadow but everyone in his life that aren’t hand-picked by them, and thankfully this couple gets the HEA they deserve. Can’t wait to see what else Leah will come up with!

I absolutely loved this author!! I’m used to series by her so when she said she was writing a stand-alone story I was a little skeptical but I shouldn’t have been worried. Everything she writes is brilliant! Luca has been pleasing his family all of his life and just wants a moment for himself and just to breathe. When he sees Meadow in the bar he just has to know her and little did he know she will turn his life upside down. Get the tissues ready because this is an emotional ride.

Love makes people act differently than they normally do. For Luca there is something about Meadow that brings out his mushy side. Meadow is sexy and complicated. She is a strong independent woman who loves Luca's mush. Luca and Meadow fall fast but his family adds to the complication component of this story. This story is a little sweet, a bit finny, a lot sexy, at time dramatic and life will always be complicated.

Dramatic, Mushy, Complicated, Love.
Who hasn't been there a time or ten ? . Lol . I couldn't put this book down .

Leah Sharelle seems to be able to get into my head and pull certain memories from my past and write them into a story that made me think holy crap that's me . I could relate to Meadow in so many ways she was fiesty, sassy, independent, kind , honest, dramatic, beautiful and in someways a bit ditzy.

Luca was handsome , honest, hardworking, loyal bossy , blind to certain behaviors from the female people in his life and very very mushy. They had an instant spark. An attraction to each other like a moth to a flame their love lit up like the fourth of july , yet some people in Lucas life wanted to dull that flame and would go to any means necessary to make that happen . I truly loved this standalone book from Leah Sharelle her first and hopefully not her last . Dramatic and Mushy it may be, complicated ? Aren't we all but in the end all we really want is LOVE .
Five flaming stars from me this book is up for pre order on amazon one click it now you will not be disappointed.

WOW!!! Leah has brilliantly released her first stand alone book and it is so bloody good. Luca and Meadow meet and sparks fly immediately. These two come from two totally different families. One family is laid back, while the other is an overbearing, manipulative and conniving family. Luca and Meadow have to deal with both before they can have their happiness. I highly recommend reading this book.

When I first read the title of this book I was thrown a bit and thought oh boy, what a mouthful! However, I can tell you that it is actually the perfect title for this story, absolutely spot on and I loved the way the author incorporated it throughout the story too, very cleverly done.

Meadow is such a great character, I totally loved her from the instant she was introduced in the story. She has independence that has served her well and a beautiful nature that oozes out of her. She certainly knows how to stand up for herself too, well she did have some knowledge of how to from her childhood after all. Her family may be quite unique in many ways but they are adorable.

Now Luca is a slightly different story, I liked his character but I also became so incensed with him that I wanted to shake him so hard to rattle a few things straight in his brain, well hopefully. 😆 He redeems himself but the quality of the writing by this author was proven to me by how irate I became with him and other characters. I truly became immersed in the story and felt every emotion deeply.

Great descriptions of the settings and characters make it easy to visualize the story. The so-called ‘bad’ characters are so revolting in their attitude and actions that again I wanted to do something drastic, and I am not a violent person, honestly!

This is a lighter romance but it does have some very real, deeper issues in it and they are handled well. The sense of humor throughout is terrific though, even when things are tough for a character it still surfaces and makes for one extremely entertaining book.

I have no hesitation in recommending this book to everyone who enjoys escaping into the fictional world of romance.

Leah Sharelle has gifted us readers with her very first standalone, and the title fits the characters and their relationship down to a Ͳ, it couldn't be anymore perfect for Meadow and Luca’s story.

The pair come from completely different backgrounds, with Meadow’s being 100% laid back, any more so and they’d be vertical whilst Luca’s, well to be honest with you his is manipulative, overbearing and controlling over him. Sparks may fly when these two are together and it’s just them alone, but if they’re to stand any chance of complete happiness then they need to deal with some family issues, Luca’s family in particular before any damage they cause between the couple is irreparable, especially when things are set to change forever between them.

Well written with a fantastic bunch of characters, even though I wanted to throat punch a few of them a time or two, Luca himself included, I could totally visualise myself being around them, I’d fit in well with Meadow, her sister Spring, best friend Prue and her mother Trish, probably a little to well... lol. Anyway sit back, relax and escape into this wonderful crazy world of romance Leah has gifted us readers with, I highly recommend it.

P.S. Don’t think the mention of one of our firefighters slipped past me, I almost wee’d my pants a bit.. Okay I did, the excitement was too much for me.

I don’t think there is a story that Leah writes that I wont love. This one, which was her first standalone story was so good, I couldn’t get enough.

Meadow was a character. She was feisty, unique, beautiful and she was one of those people that you can’t help falling in love with and you want them to be your best friend, lol

While Luca was the opposite of that. Once upon a time he was a care free person, but then his dad passed away and he became the head of the family. Man I really wanted to like his family but man those women were a handful, manipulative and so overbearing. Where Meadow’s family were the total opposite. More laid back you wont find. I loved her parents.

I was rooting for these from the start and some parts I wanted to strangle Luca and say man don’t let these women walk all over you. I definitely couldn’t get enough of this couple and their families. Hooked from start to finish. This was definitely a Dramatic, Mushy and Complicated Love Story 😊 And I hope we may get a bit more of this crazy world 😊 ♥

I loved meeting Luca and Meadow! And they were not like my preconceived notions thought they would be based on the synopsis. In my head, I figured Luca was a playboy, a different girl every night of the week, and Meadow was just as unserious. Which before things happen, Luca had been that way, at least somewhat. And then everything changed. Fast-forward years later, when Luca is the businessman and just focused on that until Meadow.

Meadow isn't looking for anything long term but all bets are off with Luca. I love that kind of love. They were both so consumed with each other and just knew they met their "one". And they have to fight for it and each other even though they knew they were meant to be.

This was a great story and while there was some slang I've never heard of, I was able to pick up the gist of what the intent was. Definitely a re-read book for me! An insta-love (almost) but a full-length story!

Luca has been fulfilling his vow to his family all his life and just wants to breathe out from under the pressures of life. When he sees Meadow in a bar his heart skips a beat and he knows he has to know her, little does he know but she will upturn everything he believes and he will love it. Wow I sincerely loved this story, I can't say it didn't bring me tears or make me want to toss my kindle but I truly loved it. It was so real and true and this story could happen to any girl I know. This story and characters are all real and so dang interesting. I know this is a standalone but dang it I want Ace and Spring's story too, is that wrong of me??? Highly recommend this book and as always Leah Sharelle is such an amazing and awe-inspiring storyteller.

This standalone romance is a little dramatic, a little mushy and a complicated love story. An instant attraction between Meadow and Luca has the chemistry sparking off the pages between these two. Their story is a little quirky, overflowing with drama and Luca brings out all the mushy lines to win the heart of the one person who stole his instantly. Their story is not a smooth road and has ups and downs and family issues to add to the complications of falling in love. These two bring the heat and steam in massive waves. The last quarter of this book bring the complications to a new high and has your emotions overflowing. A tear or two will be shed but if you hold on tight and weather the storm with Luca and Meadow you will be left with a huge side of gooey love to give you the perfect HEA.

Wow! This book was so different from what I am used to from this author. She is and will always be one of my go to authors and this read just proves how diverse her writing style can be. I fell in love with Meadow and Luca from the vet go (even if I did want to bop him on the head a few times). Their story is full of fun, sass and romance. Something neither was looking for but once it grabbed hold they were all but helpless to let it go. But what happens when family and self guilt read their ugly heads? Can these two weather the storm or will their bubble burst and come tumbling down.

Outstanding read and I hope Ms. Sharelle decides to do future books of this type and I offer her Kudos for a job well done. I highly recommend grabbing this stand-alone up and simply enjoying it.

Wow, this book was absolutely amazing and something completely different from this author.

Meadow and Luca couldn't be more different. Meadow was raised a free spirited, strong independent woman. Luca was raised in a strict family in his father’s shadow.

When tradegy strikes Luca's family, he must give up the life he has dreamed off for the life that was paved for him.

Until 1 night a bombshell of a woman came into the pub and brought chaos to Luca's well ordered life.

But things don't always go to plan.

This was an amazing standalone, it was realistically written and sucked you in from page 1.

Dramatic, Mushy, Complicated Love by Leah Sharelle is an opposites attract story with intense and immediate attraction, manipulative family members,  complications, surprises,  and a wonderful, beautiful love.  I adore Meadow and Luca... their story had me feeling all the feelings.  I smiled, I felt frustrated, I laughed, my heart broke and then was put together again...  And I loved every moment.

This is Leah's first stand alone novel, and wow!!! I loved this book! Meadow is amazing. I absolutely loved her. Luca... oh dear Luca. I adored him. He was so blind to how much his family abused him and Meadow. He was so used to it. I truly felt for him. I'm so glad that him and Meadow got their HEA.

I didn't think I could love characters more than the Wounded Souls MC, but here it is. I ADORE Luca and Meadow! Their quirky, crazy personalities caught my attention right away, the more I read, the more I fell in love with them! This is a story that catches your attention, holds it and won't let go. I read this book in one sitting, and could not get enough!

Luca's whole life changed the night his father died. He became the head of the family, became who they needed him to be. Became the rock they depended on. He never questioned his decision, or his place in the family. Until an eccentric whirlwind came and turned his life upside down (in a good way!)

Meadow had an unconventional upbringing. Her family is... a little odd. But for her, life is perfect. She has everything she needs, and a family that is there for her when she needs them. She didn't know anything was missing until one night, in a bar......

This book has everything. A perfect, once in a lifetime, love at first sight. Explosive chemistry. And some pretty off the wall characters. What's not to love?!? (this book was written as a stand alone, but I really hope we hear from these characters again!)

Two opposites found their way to each other. The chemistry between Meadow and Luca was off the charts. I loved that Luca was willing to hold off on sex until he got to know Meadow better. She was such a free spirit, and I enjoyed her open and honest reactions to things as they came up. I recommend this story as this couple kept me smiling and giggling as I turned the pages.

I received an ARC of this story, and this is my unsolicited review.

This was a fun story to read overall. There were some sad moments a little bit of drama and a whole lotta love. Meadow is who I wanna be when I grow up lol she's spunky, free and pretty awesome! When she meets Luca they click and they have fire chemistry. Luca's mom was sisters are something else and I was shocked he dealt with there crap as long as he did. Meadow is exactly what he needs though to make him realize his mom is abusing her power over him. Thankfully he fixes it all and the ending is super sweet.

HOLY MOLY THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!
Leahs first standalone and she literally knocked it outta the park!

The title of this book is absolutely perfect and describes the story to a Tee!!

Luca and Meadow were just ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I don’t even have the words to describe how much I really enjoyed this story.

Best part about this standalone is there are no unanswered questions! Like, I don’t come across that very often, I always want more! Don’t get me wrong, I could definitely read another book or 5 about these characters but Leah didn’t leave us hanging with “I wonder what happened there??” questions. A great accomplishment in my eyes!

I absolutely fully recommend this to one and all!!

This story was cute, it was fun flirty and had a cast of characters that ranged from snooty to free spirits.

We have to say we loved Meadow with her boldness and confidence and that she was a bit of a free spirit.

We loved how she was never ashamed of where she came from or her wacky family as she calls them and regardless of how unconventional they were there was a lot of love there to see.

Luca was a sexy and charming character easily manipulated but, he was also filled with compassion and love and loyalty.

We loved Meadow and Luca as a couple, their chemistry awesome, and they were clearly made for one another, they just had this awesome connection. We loved that Luca loved all those little things Meadow thought were her faults, but, those little things only made her even more loveable in Luca's eyes.

Overall, we enjoyed this story, it was kind of like a love at first sight kind of story. We loved that it had a bold female character full of sass and independence. We loved that Luca had those tell it like it is kind of friends because they made us smile, but, Luca's family not so much. Our only complaint would be that the book was too predictable. Luca clearly had some alpha in him, and he is going to have to learn how to tread very carefully where Meadow is concerned, if not he might find himself in the dog house more often than not...

Dramatic, Mushy, Complicated love is a standalone, opposites attract romance, featuring Luca and Meadow.

Luca is loving and loyal, but easily manipulated by his overbearing family, who have very strong opinions and expectations regarding who he will socialize with and behave. His life is quite structured and ordered, and he works to support his family by running the family business.

Meadow is independent, sassy, laid back, creative, hard working and not afraid to stand up for herself.

There is an immediate connection between this pair, that continues to build despite outside influences. As much as I loved this pair together there were moments when I wanted to shake some sense into Luca.

Their title has quirky characters, and is not only interesting and entertaining, but a fun and dramatic romance with equal parts heat, heart, and humor.

A bit of a change for Leah story wise but it worked and I loved it!

Meadow is spunky, dramatic, funny...a massive bomb of hilarity comes with this girl. Once you meet her family you will realize she is well adjusted. Lol!

Luca is smoldering hot and has never been with someone like Meadow. She rocks his world in ways he never imagined. Their families couldn’t be more different.

The contrast between the two is enough to stop you in your tracks but they work together once you take Luca’s meddling family members out of the picture.

This is a romantic comedy with a tiny bit of drama and a whole lot of love.

HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!!!
Leah, I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED IT!! I don't even know where to start. I fell instantly in love with Meadow, her character is so outgoing and fun for once in my life I think I have a book girlfriend. Lol! And her family? Qwerks and all they are a blast, I loved the back and forth banter between the siblings. Brecken, I love the name by the way, at first seems like the spoiled lazy little brother who hasn't a care in the world but then I begin to see his strengths in the family. He's a deeply caring brother who loves and thinks the world of his sisters. Meadow and Spring are not only sisters they're best friends and I absolutely love that. They're the epitome of what sisters should be. Picking out each others clothes, listening to each others problems and helping them solve them, laughing and crying together, I loved it all. Oh and I can't forget Prue, everyone should have at least one best friend in their lifetime. She is the sister from another mister. I've been so blessed in my life I've had two best friends unfortunately one passed away from the big C several years ago and the other I've had since junior high and I adore her, her parents call me their number 4 daughter. Anyway, I think Trish and Lennie are a hoot! I wouldn't mind having them as parents, I love the closeness of this whole family. Now Luca, his character sounds scrumptious but you can keep his family. Lol! He is very loyal to not only his family but also his friends and the first time he and Meadow see each other their attraction was so explosive you can almost feel the heat coming off the pages. When these two are together it's wet panties set your crotch on fire smokin hot! And OH HOLY BEJEEZES does Leah know how to write a sex scene! WOOH! I thought I was gonna have to break out B.O.B. Lol! Their lives have quite a bit of drama just the right amount of mushy and it definitely gets complicated. So right from the start the first time Luca's sister Kayla is introduced Yuck!! There's nothing I hate more than a snobby b*itch who acts like their sh*t don't stink. Then when you meet the rest of his sisters and their queen, Irena, their mother, Oh Hell! Her character even kinda scared me alittle. Lol. I could feel Meadow's hurt and Luca's fear but you can also feel their complete happiness too. I loved every freakin minute of it and the ending was perfect. Oh and yes Leah, I did catch the reference to the jewelry maker and her son and fireman. Lol. I didn't want the book to end. Will Spring and Ace get a book? I really hope so. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE! In fact I'm gonna read it again right now just because I love feeling all the emotions this book made me feel. Thank You Leah.

Love-At-First-Sight Opposites Attract!! Simple 5-Star Magic.

This was the first book of Leah Sharelle’s that I had read even though I know of her well for her MC series, and I have to say that I absolutely LOVED everything about it!!!! This cleverly written stand-a-lone romantic comedy is a wonderful refreshing witty and sometimes steamy book that will uplift the spirits of anyone who reads it. Seriously I couldn’t put it down!

Luca Donatella was just gorgeous and all kinds of sexy, and just like Meadow, I still loved him even when we got to know how up there in priorities his family rated in his life. It was one of complicated and constrained responsibility that was worn like a heavy weight around his neck, and his family, I have no words.... Read for yourself.

Meadow and her family were hilarious! I loved and admired each and every one of them, and her parents were the best things since sliced bread. Oversharing, and out to embarrass their adult kids just for kicks, they modelled unconditional love at its best. I can’t even say how many times I laughed my titties off during their scenes!!!!

Meadow and Luca were each other’s atypical types, but a fiery chemistry and love-at-first-eye-sight put the kibosh on that, and these opposites attract worked in every sense of the word. Bubbly and vivacious vs. Stoic. Unbridled and free vs. Constrained. Oil and Water, yet Luca said they were “the perfect combination of Vegemite and butter on toast.” I totally loved that. *sigh* What a gorgeous mushy, romance; I was swept along nicely in its wonderful vibes until Ms Sharelle’s foretold dramatic complication hit, and I wondered just how she was going to turn their story around.

I know this was out of Author Leah Sharelle’s usual wheelhouse, but based on the blurb alone, and that cover, I just HAD to one-click!!! Try this 5-Star rom-com for yourself; it was awesome!! 🌹💖✦

Absolutely loved it!
I couldn't put it down! It draws you in and hooks you from the first page. The title is totally appropriate for this story because you get it all. I felt the mushy just before the end but the middle had the drama and the complicated but the love was throughout.
A strong independent woman has the do anything for you man on his toes. Meadow is not your average woman, she wasn't raised by normal parents Trish and Lennie. She has a sister Spring and brother Brecken. Luca has been running the family business since his father passed 10 years ago. His mom and three sisters have him under their thumb until Meadow. Meadow and Luca meet by chance, love at first sight then BAM he dashes off no explanation and no exchange of numbers. What will come of these two?
Leah was a new author for me and now I'm hooked. She takes you to another place with her story that's set down under. Her characters are fantastic, great personality, strong, independent and funny all traits that keep you interested.
A must read! ARC provided in return for honest review

My heart!!

Oh. My. Heart!! I absolutely love Meadow!! She is a strong, independent, sassy, confident woman and when she meets Luca, sparks fly immediately. Meadow is like a breath of fresh air for Luca, and everything he didn't realise he was missing in his life.
Getting front row seats to this couple getting to know each other and building a relationship was beautiful, but I was waiting for the show to drop. And when it did, my heart broke. I was doubtful on how Luca was going to make this right. My heart!!
What a fantastic read!
