Engine: A Book to Help Anyone Understand What's Under the Hood!

Rate this book
I drew this book specifically for my friends who just had infants and were looking for something to show or read to them. Amazingly all of the little ones (guys and girls) stayed fully attentive the whole time! Then my friends said, wow this is really good, and I'm actually learning as well. So I decided to publish it on here, and apparently it can help anyone understand how an engine works. I loved engines and cars my whole life, grew up in a neighborhood with a race car driver, but I didn't realize the importance of the components, and even the fact that an engine requires air to run. It was always just a black box that consumed gasoline to me. This book is intended to be incredibly simple, I used the absolute minimum number of words to help enhance focus on the concept at hand. It shows the air and fuel combining and going through the engine as a mixture, through the four stroke cycle, then the exhaust. Valves are shown in the most basic way, to illustrate the cylinder and piston system without distraction of excess details in the head. It is modeled after a V8, which is my favorite type of engine, as well as the American Classic (which hopefully does not die out). This book is best read to children, especially infants, with specific sound effects on each page. Trace the arrows with your finger, and make the sound effects as you do so, it tends to really hold their attention, and its the perfect length!
