The story continues much like part 1: a romanticized happy version of the very wealthy and their maids and how a school for both could (or should?) work with a bit of yuri mixed in. It is entertaining, but don't expect anything world shattering or a realistic approach to how people deal with such power dynamics. There is a bit of character development, and I am somewhat curious what kind of drama we are going to get. For now, we have what are basically a two short stories about the first 2 months (?) of school life and an introduction to some of the more important characters at said school.

One thing that was a bit difficult for me though was that Misaki (the protagonist) is a *timid* girl and her reactions towards confrontations and questions are as a result a bit irritating for me. Being nervous when dealing with a domineering wealthy person is one thing, having a nervous breakdown because you are asked to give an opinion on the taste of food by somebody who is earnestly looking for an honest opinion is a tad tiresome. Some of translations of what I assume is very polite Japanese feels a bit off, although it might be the author who purposely went for some very odd word choices. For example, I doubt even an adult member of parliament, let alone a 10-year old no matter how well behaved, would use words such as "capitalize on our affiliation" when talking about taking advantage of the friendship between two children ;) Considering the comedic nature of the story it is not too bad, but still...

Regardless, an entertaining diversion which is exactly what I expected and wanted.

Never knew I could like a genre this much but it was the best thing I ever read.
