Not Just A Number

Rate this book
Sometimes it seems that the only thing you can control is the food you eat. But what happens when it starts controlling you?

When Abigail broke up with her ex, her whole world fell apart. With huge change on the horizon and Brandon no longer in her life, she found herself unable to function properly, and her appetite disappeared entirely.

But when she begins to heal from her heartbreak, her appetite doesn't follow, and she soon finds herself restricting her eating in a desperate bid for control that she doesn’t even realize she’s making.

Abigail will soon be going off to college, her sister is getting married, and on top of that, Brandon has a stunning new girlfriend. How can she ever compete with her at the prom, and how will she ever look as good as the other bridesmaids at her sister’s wedding?

Before Abigail knows what’s happening, she finds herself caught up in a cycle of restrictive eating and obsessive exercise. She seems to be getting away with it, until one day, there’s an incident her friends simply can’t ignore.

Will the love and support of her friends and family be enough to carry her through? And is Brandon really who she wants, or could it be that there’s a knight in shining armor much closer to home?

Can Abigail take control of her life without controlling her diet? Will she ever be able to see past the number on the scale?

Not Just a Number is a powerful story of strength and courage. Share in Abigail’s story as she fights to defeat her illness and trust in the love and support she has around her.
