Just One Night

Rate this book
A guy should never, and I do mean never, hook up with his friend’s sister.

It doesn’t matter how hot she is or how many times he’s imagined her in a not-so-innocent way. Nope. Those visuals should always remain hidden deep down in a dark place.

But of course, I just had to drink until I couldn’t see straight and screw everything up. Now, I know what you’re thinking, and I swear it wasn’t my fault. It was that damn tequila.

I never expected to wake up naked only a few feet away from the woman I never should have touched. But man, reality had been so much better than any fantasy I’d ever had.

But it all went downhill fast when she opened the door to leave and came face to face with none other than her brother, who is also one of my best friends.

I’m a dead man, but Jade might actually be worth it.

And to think, all it took to change everything was…
Just One Night.

Favorite Quotes:

He’s moping around like a first-grader who got their lunch stolen by a bully, and when I attempt to make light of the event I get the death glare. I’m talking that how dare you look that makes my stomach feel like it’s falling out my butt, so I’ve decided to give him time.

Look… my boobs sparkle when I move.

Please… we waited until it sounded like you two were finished with your mattress sports and waited patiently for the acknowledgment that you’d been sparkled.

My Review:

This is the last installment in an incredibly fun, irreverently amusing, and insightfully written series of New Age romances occurring in a college fraternity house. I am sorry to see it end but Ms. Harms tied all the stories up nice and sweet with HEAs all around. I giggle-snorted my way through each volume with ingenious pranking, steamy and endearing love stories, and clever shenanigans occurred in each book. She almost had me wishing I could go back in time and doing college again if it could be this fun, but on second thought - no.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Trigger Warnings: Abuse (both kinds), Miscarriages.

This book was an excellent read for me. The romance, the characters in general with their banter and spunky natures were amusing, and the tension, hot damn (it was just through the roof), and the emotional bond they form in the middle.

Seriously, it was an amazing read and I wished Isaac was my boyfriend.

Although there was one thing I couldn't really get down with - the fact that everything was just peaches and cream considering the whole situation with the one night stand and the unexpected surprise that came with it. I wish there was more fight from Isaac, more reluctance to accept the whole thing considering he was shown as a playboy, so a little more reluctance would have seemed more real.

But an overall amazing read with all the feels, romance, and relatability.

Until the next read,

This was humiliating. Not only was my brother a witness to my one-night stand, but so was every other person who lived in this house. Hell, and a lot who didn’t.
Wait.
I paused and allowed Ruby’s words to register in my mind, and then I looked in her direction to find her still looking down at my brother, who had yet take his hands off Isaac’s neck.
“Skank?” I glared at her. “Are you calling me a skank?”
“For Christ’s sakes, no.” It was almost funny how she shook her head at me and rolled her eyes. “Focus, will ya?”
She turned her attention back to my brother. His nostrils were still flaring as he hovered above Isaac, who, might I add, was naked. I wanted to tell every other girl around the area to look away but it wasn’t my place. It didn’t take the urge away, though.
I also understood that it would take nothing at all for him to push my brother off of him but I figured it had more to do with the fact that he knew he’d screwed up.
In my defense, I remember nothing.
That alone solidified the fact that this was a mistake. I knew better, honestly I did, but again I was lonely, and fine, it had been a long long time since I’d felt a man’s hands on me. Isaac was in the right place at the right time. That sounds bad, I know, but a girl’s got needs too. And I honestly thought I’d be out long before anyone else had the chance to see me.
Of all the mornings these assholes decided to get up early, it had to be the morning after my forbidden romp in the sheets with Isaac.
“My point is…” Ruby sounded all motherly as she addressed my brother and he turned his head enough so he could see her fully. “Jade is an adult, Isaac is…” Pausing, she tried to find the right word, and this time there were several of those in the crowd who laughed.
“Hey,” Isaac nudged my brother and Jay fell back and hurried to move away from Isaac’s exposed junk.
“Sorry, but from what I’ve witnessed, I’d be stretching it referring to you as an adult.” Score for Ruby. Sweet and innocent had flown right out of the window. It would seem she’d got an authoritative side. Even my brother looked a bit surprised.

5 Stars!

C.A. Harms has created an amazing world and amazing characters in this super fun and sexy series and y'all we are at the end! I'm am crazy sad to see the Oh Tequila series at its end, but I have this has been one hell of a ride that I have thoroughly enjoyed to the max.

Just One Night gives us Isaac and Jade's story and what a journey they had to tell. I've been on pins and needles for this once since the ending of last book and they did not disappoint for a single moment. All of the feels. A few complications along the way. Loads of laughs and heart. Seriously, Jade and Isaac were everything in the best ways and all of the moment they shared.

As I said before, I am crazy sad to see this series end but it will definitely be added to my re-read pile for the future because this is a crew you simply can't forget.

I highly recommend this book.

What a bitter-sweet moment. I was beyond ready for this book to come out as I was super curious what Isaac's story would turn out to be, but at the same time, this book also meant the conclusion of one of my favorite series.

The different couples and journeys throughout the Oh Tequila Series will always be some of my favorites. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. CA Harms always delivers home runs with her stories, and Just One Night was no exception.

Isaac took me by surprise and quite frankly, so did that little (not so little) plot twist that ended up setting the tone for this installment. Jade's character really made my heart break. She had a troubled past where relationships were concerned and working through her issues was not easy, but Isaac was there every step of the way, and I LOVED that. He proved himself to her and showed a very sweet and romantic side that we had not seen from him before (like his other fraternity brothers, he'd been quite the jokester, and in his case, even a ladies man).

All in all, I absolutely enjoyed reading this book from cover to cover. And the bonus chapter at the end?? EPIC. It really brought everything full circle and provided that, again, bitter-sweet closure.

If you have not read this series, get on it. Each book can be read as a standalone novel, but really, you need to read them all because they're all AMAZING. Five Stars!

O.M.G….I laughed, got tears eyed, got mad, and had so many different emotional responses. But seriously I loved Just One Night and the whole Oh Tequila series. The characters all have their own struggles, issues, and personalities but you can see they all love each other. Issac and Jade from Just One Night is a prime example. Just One Night is the conclusion to the Oh Tequila Series and I absolutely loved it. I admit this is my fist book in the Oh Tequila Series but after getting glimpses of the other couples I will be starting Just One Chance, book 1, very soon. I love books and authors that can elicit an emotional response to whatever I am reading. I love the practical jokes and how much love there are in Just One Night and the whole Oh Tequila Series. I think that the fraternity portrayed throughout the Oh Tequila Series is a prime example of how close the members become and build a family not to mention all of the memories made and how each member grows into the adults they want to be. Issac is the prime example of the growth you see of how a person grows while experiencing life’s ups and downs, relationships (both as family and as a couple), and learning what is important in life. Issac and Jade both had struggles and issues both as individuals and as a couple and I just loved the way they were able to come together and work through them. You won’t want to miss Just One Night or the Oh Tequila series (yes, I only read the one book in the series but you can tell from a writers style and how it ended in Just One Night that the whole series will be epic). Highly recommend you check out Oh Tequila series and to start at the beginning if you haven’t already. Yes, Just One Night can be read as a stand alone and be a fantastic read but just with the glimpses I had and what I know as an avid reader that you will get a better picture and the best reading experience if starting at the beginning. No matter where you start in the Oh Tequila series you won’t be disappointed. C.A. Harms, author, did a excellent job with Just One Night and the Oh Tequila series. C.A. can and does elicit various emotional responses with her writing and that to me is why I will be starting the series from book 1, Just One Chance and then checking out her other books as I am sure I will love them all!! Enjoy your reading of Oh Tequila series and Just One Night!!

This is the last book in the series and I cried at the end because we get to see the future for all the characters and well its been an awesome series and I have loved every book in the series. This book can stand alone as well but if you read one book before this one make it, Just One Glance, because we see ALOT of Jay and Ruby in this book, more than any of the other characters.

In this story we get to know two characters that we have seen in other books but here we really get in their head. Jade is Jay's older sister, and Isaac is the fraternity's president and Jay's best friend but also he is known as easy and a one nighter. Jade has dated tons of guys that treat her like crap. One night Isaac gets blind drunk on Tequila and Jade runs into him and figures why not? Maybe he can make her feel better about herself....that is until the next day when the whole frat finds her trying to escape and so the fun begins.

This story was a really awesome way for the series to end. The author even goes into detail on each character at the end of the book so we get a glance into their future. These guys and gals get into so many shenanigans but they are also a family and thats why this has been an absolutely awesome series.

Jade was a pretty awesome character and I adored Isaac, the terrific guy that has been hiding as a not so terrific guy throughout this series. He has the one night with Jade but he also really cares about her and Jay and he tries to make it right. I loved his mom and I loved how awesome they were for Jade and for Isaac as they both start falling for each other.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Just One Night is book six in the Oh Tequila series and sadly the last book in the series. This series is full of pranksters (especially these girls), heart, friendship and drinking fun. What a way to end the series though! Jade and Isaac gave us the perfect ending. For being a true playboy, Isaac truly showed us a side we did not see in the other books, he truly was a mama's boy. But...he broke one rule....then again so did she though. What you don't expect though is how you are caught! Jade has not had the best of life especially when it comes to a man so her brother has every right (Jay) to be protective, but he is a little too over protective. Thank goodness for Ruby the peacekeeper! This one night may have turned their life upside down, but I think it did it for the right reason. Fate knew when to step in. You will hurt with them, love them and laugh with them. You will love the turn Isacc did (truly grown up), but the pranks they did to him was scary/hilarious. Sadly this was the end of the road for Oh Tequila, but that ending gave us the perfect ending and we can only hope that this will one day lead to a Oh Tequila reunion of where they are now or maybe the next generation!

I can’t believe that we have come to the end of the Oh, Tequila Series and what a great series it has been. Love, laughter, and emotional stories all wrapped around an extraordinary group of college friends.

Jade and Isaac's story was a great finale and one that showed C A Harms great writing skill. Isaac is Jay’s best friend and one thing you don’t do is break the brother code by sleeping with the sister of that best friend and you definitely don’t say after you got caught 'that you don’t remember'!

Jay is super protective of his sister Jade. She has always felt she wasn’t good enough, for her parents and her past relationships, which have been toxic, all because she doesn’t believe in herself. When she goes to her brother's frat party Jade wasn’t expecting to pump into her brother's hot best friend. It should have only been one night but sometimes things happen that we can’t control. Isaac wasn't expecting to develop feelings for Jade, but the more time he spends with her, the more Isaac knows that she is worth fighting for and helping her believe in herself and make her see what a truly remarkable woman she is.

It wouldn’t be an Oh, Tequila Series without our lads and girls getting up to high jinks in the house, from sprinkles to mummy wraps it would put a smile on your face!

Thank you C A Harms for making me laugh and cry and letting me part of this great series

The Oh Tequila series is one of those that I'll NEVER NOT ONCE get enough of, so I'm actually a bit sad to say goodbye because I don't want to. I've had a rough week with losing a pet, but Just One Night got me laughing hard (which isn't surprising to be honest), and I know that when I drink tequila, I'll always remember these guys. Isaac is Jay's best friend, and Jay is Jade's brother, who Jay is very protective of since she's got a past filled of toxicity from family & relationships. It was one of those party nights at Jay & Isaac's fraternity where the tequila was flowing so Jade ends up hooking up with Isaac, and while she's trying to sneak out, she's outed by her brother & everyone else in the house in a humiliating situation for her but I couldn't stop laughing at Isaac's description of the whole thing. Things take a turn as Isaac & Jade get to know each other, and the more time they spend together, the more feelings are being caught. With all the hilarious pranks & craziness of the frat house, Just One Night is the perfect blend of sweet with heat, emotional goodness in between all the laughing that once again has my stomach muscles in agony. For a big bonus, we get to see how everyone ends up but again, NOT READY TO SAY GOODBYE! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I was pulled right into this story. This story contains love, laughs, heartbreak, secrets, and pain.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Just One Chance (Oh Tequila #1)
Just One Taste (Oh Tequila #2)
Just One Touch (Oh Tequila #3)
Just One Kiss (Oh Tequila #4)
Just One Glance (Oh Tequila #5)

This is Jade and Isaac‘s story. If you read any books in this series, you met Isaac and Jade was in book 5. He is always in the background but also always with one person never a repeat. Jade is Jay’s sister. She has had a bunch of bad relationships. These two have one night and then Jay finds out the next morning. Makes everything tense as he is pissed, and Isaac does not remember much. Jay just wants Jade to be treated right and once Isaac steps up and starts treating her right, he will get over it. But can Jade let Isaac in her heart after all he was a player and has set goals, he is working towards should she even get involved?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

"I’m a little bit sad but a whole heap of happy as well. Seems we have come to the end of the Oh Tequila series and what a way to finish it.
From the start of Isaac and Jade’s story I was positively enthralled. Isaac became a whole grown up man literally overnight and it was such an incredible thing to read. He stepped up to his A game in many ways but the absolute best for me was how he continuously shown and said the right words to Jade to make her realize how strong and special she truly is.
Then add in all the shenanigans of his brothers and do many laugh out loud moments were had. Positively epic is how I can only describe this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

Isaac and Jade finally got their own story...and what a story it was. It started out with a "bang" and it ended with soooo much more. Sad to see the end of this series, but I enjoyed it from the first book. ~Jen

Just One Night is the last book in the Oh Tequila series.

Isaac is the playboy, one night stand kind of guy and Jade is his best friends sister. Can you imagine hooking up with a girl for a one night stand only to wake from your drinking haze and it be your best friends sister? Oh Tequila what have you done now? Imagine being caught red handed, by your brother, coming out of his best friends bedroom. Oh, NO!
Isaac has always been the house playboy until that one night. He can’t stop thinking about Jade. Jade can’t stop thinking about him. Their relationship ends up coming into a twist. One that Isaac or Jade didn’t expect. One that brings them together and leads to more than Just One Night. This is a beautiful story about love found when least expected. C.A. Harms is one of my favorite authors. She never leads me astray. Highly recommend this book. If you haven’t read any other books in the series, I suggest to start with book one.

Just One Night was a book that touched my heart and had my emotions running high. Isaac and Jade's story is one that grips hard and will not let go. Two people that should never have worked turn one night into so much more. As one fights the reputation that proceeds him and the other fights her inner demons, these two will be the strengths to the other that they never could have imagined. Isaac will turn you into mush as he voices the words that should have been spoken to ease the inner turmoil that Jade is drowning in. As you take the last journey with the Oh Tequila series you will be captivated by the passion, devotion, flirting, happiness, growth and ultimate the love that overflows from the pages. Not only is this story emotional and heartfelt but it is hot and steamy and ignites the flames within. This author wraps this series up in such a perfect way and gives us the final pieces to be able to say goodbye to characters that have stolen our heart along the way.

Oh Tequila! What have you done now? All it takes is just one night. Jade has been pushed aside and beaten down by men her whole life. For just one night she wants to let go, be free and make her own choices. Issac is the manwh*re, the party guy. He has a plan and women aren’t apart of that right now. One night is all he will allow himself. Then that night happened. He wakes up to his best friends sister dressing and trying to sneak out. What had they done? Worse is when the door opens and her brother, his best friend is standing there ready to kill him. He’s thought about her before, dreamed about her but never let himself go there. Tequila changed that and also changed their lives forever.
This is a great addition and wrap up to this series. CA Harms created this fun and fantastic world where we met all these wonderful characters and got to experience the fall with each of them. It’s a great escape that leaves you with a smile on your face.

When the tequila starts flowing you never know what’s going to happen in the frat house and when president Issac gets a little too drunk he wakes up to find a blonde trying to sneak outta his room little did he know that he had just crossed the biggest cardinal rule in brotherhood history don’t sleep with a brothers sister. Jade was just wanting to have fun after being treated like shit in every relationship she’s ever been in including the one she doesn’t have with her parents, having fun is what she needed. Little did they both know the romp in the sheets would ruin both of them for other people and a baby comes into play. Will this get to be too much of a lead weight to the frat president who has done nothing but drink and have sex or will this be the exact wake up call they both needed. Wow oh wow this book was amazing and I’m so gonna miss these characters and this group of friends I didn’t want it to end but I’m so glad that we got some bonuses in the back of each character.

Waking up next to Jade and thanks to tequila Isaac has no recollection of the events that brought them there but meeting Jay, his best friend and Jade’s brother, as he was leaving brings the complications to a whole new level.

Jade hasn’t made the best choices when it comes to men and believes that she has made another questionable choice as Isaac’s reputation precedes him and having her brother as a witness just makes it that much worse. Let the fun begin!

Jade has always had a champion in her brother but as Isaac gets to know her for the beautiful woman that she is his determination to ensure that she realizes it as well is enough to make you swoon. Humor, heat and all the feels as Jade and Isaac find exactly what they need in each other.

Just One Night is 6th and final book in the Oh Tequila series by C.A. Harms. This is Jade and Isaac‘s story. You met them in book 5 as secondary characters and now they close out the series as headliners. The title really kind of tells you what this book is about..."Just One Night" can literally can the course of one's life, relationship..bring people together or tear them apart. This is a beautiful story about two people - Issac and Jade, who never saw themselves with one another, considering who won't be at all happy (think big brother). There is still the big laughs, heartbreak, drama, passion, angst, secrets, twists, pain, feels, attraction, forgiveness, love and HEA. What a wonderful ending to a fantastic series.

I started this series when the first was a short story in an anthology. I loved it! I love the whole series. The immature, prankster guys meeting their lady loves and maturing into men worthy of them.

Isaac was the manwhore of the bunch. Throughout the series, we saw how this played out. We met Jade in the last book. She had been treated poorly by all men, father included, except her brother, Isaac's best friend. The tale of their night and subsequent aftermath was interesting to read about. Isaac manning up and becoming the man Jade could depend on was a heartwarming ride. It was fun to see more of the pranks as well.

This is the last of the series and I liked how Harms tied up the stories after graduation. This is definitely a series and book that I would gladly reread.

I actually wanted to rate this at 2 stars but then I learned that it was part of a series and hadn’t read any of the other books first (my fault for not realizing that so I went up to 3 stars but now back to 2). I was super confused as to why there were all these random mentions of side characters and it was prob that, like bridging everything together and I just didn’t get it. I wish books like this were clear in where they fall in a series even of standalones. Didn’t love the characters and Isaac especially, like suddenly turning it around and being someone he wasn’t at the beginning? Happened too quickly to be believable.

I brought it back to 2 stars because I’m at 50% and I’m just skimming now. I could DNF it and not feel like I was missing anything.

What a way for a series to end. I'm a little sad since I've been with these frat boys since the first book. But here we have Isaac and Jade. One night. One night that can change your whole outlook on life. One night can bring two people together, forever.

This book was about opening your heart to another, after being hurt over and over again. I only wish Jade's ex got worst treatment for what he did to her. Isaac, for being the quintessential frat bro, found what seemed to be his missing piece.

Love the ending to this series and revisiting all the boys after graduation. What a way to go out!

There are worse things than waking up with a naked woman beside you after a house party, but nothing can be as bad as your best friend being the girl's brother. Isaac and Jade have one night they will never forget which will lead to a connection they never saw coming. But will Jade's brother ever forgive Isaac for including Jade in his playboyish ways? And what happens when Isaac realizes she is more than just a woman he can use for just one night? With adorable characters and a heartwarming storyline this was a great story. I wil now need to go back and read the beginning stories in the series.

I loved the way C.A. Harms wrapped up this series! Isaac and Jade’s story tugged on my heartstrings, had me laughing and rolling my eyes at the frat house antics, but the best one (involving sheets) had me laughing uncontrollably! It was my favorite of the entire series. Each book in this series touches on a wide range of emotions, from heartfelt, serious, silly, outrageously funny, to passion. This has been a fun series! I recommend starting with book 1, Just One Chance to get to know all the characters as they play such a big part in all the books. You really don’t want to miss all the shenanigans!

I love this series so much and Isaac and Jade's story was no exception! I absolutely adore these two characters!

This book was so much fun to read! Between the sweetness and passion that is Isaac and Jade and the absolutely hilarious shenanigans between all the frat brothers and their women. I was on a rollercoaster ride. I was swooning one second and cracking up loudly the next. I absolutely loved this book just as much as the others! You will fall in love with Isaac and Jade quickly! This is a 100% MUST READ! 5 stars but I wish I could give it more because it is so much more!

Jade and Isaac were a great story for the last of the series. I am so sad it's done but I am thankful CA Harms takes care of her fans. We get the ultimate send off. Jade is Jay's sister, she has been pushed aside by her father for years with bad guy after bad guy in her past. She should have stayed away but she just couldn't. One night with Isaac will change her life forever. Isaac always talks about living in the moment and never growing up, no responsibilities. He has his night with Tequila. And boy is that a night he wishes he could remember so he couldn't forget. It was a great story.

A crazy frat house with a bunch of crazy drunk guys what could happen?!?! One night, followed by a morning fight & a major oops sure make for a wonderful story. Issac has to go out with a bang when he finds his girl. These two grow as people & grow as a couple throughout this story. They might possibly be my favorite couple, too 3 for sure!! Jade has had some horrible relationships, but she goes big with this one. A beautiful, hilarious read that will keep you completely entertained. I loved the bonus chapters to see the future for all the couples. This series was so much fun to read, one of my favorites by this author!!
