Guardians of the Universe #2

Liberated by the Warrior

Rate this book
I thought my life was over, until he showed up.

After Avi's mysterious disappearance 3 years ago, things took a turn for the worse. The evil Nepharan overlords tightened their grip on the subjugated humans. Those who are not in prison camps have died long ago. Mya is one of these unlucky souls. She has lost everything: her family, her job, her spark for life. It is not until a mighty alien warrior comes crashing into her world that she begins to find it again.

Qroko, one of the fiercest warriors in the Zahothian military, is committed to liberating the subjugated humans from their icy hell. He knows that without their fertile women, his planet may face extinction. He knew his mission would take him across the universe, but the one thing he did not expect was to fall in love in the process.

She needs a savior. He needs to breed.

Liberated by the Warrior is the second book in the Guardians of the Universe series. Each title is standalone, but they are best enjoyed when read chronologically. Each installment contains brave, strong-willed heroines and dark, powerful aliens bound together by exhilarating action and steamy romance.

No cliffhangers. No cheating. Happy ending guaranteed.

Don't ,I repeat, don't waste your time

Thank goodness for unlimited, because if I had paid for this,I would be asking for a refund. The reason for 2 stars rather than 1,was that when we first meet the heroine, Avi,she comes across as downtrodden, but not stupid. After she meets our hero,Nevak, she becomes stupid. I stopped reading and started skipping during, not after, the first sex scene. I don't care if he looked like the best thing you ever tasted, you were scared, didn't know him ,and he wasn't human. Like I said,I skipped ahead. Nothing made me want to come back and read what I skipped. Usually,I read the reviews before getting the book. This time I didn't. Big mistake. Also,as others mentioned, proofreading was non existent. Some books are so bad, they are funny. This one was just bad.

Finally free ?

Mya has been enslaved by an alien race. Having lost everything, family, her job, even her zest for life, she is ready to give up hope. But when Qroko, one of the fiercest warriors in the Zahothian military, arrives to free the humans from their icy hell, life might just be worth fighting for again.

The Zahothians are in desperate need of fertile women or their people will die out. He was ready to fight for them, but he had not thought he find a female of his own among them. Will Mya surprise him and fight against their oppressors to free the humans? Will Mya be willing to become Qroko’s mate? Or will he be just another alien to try to make her a captive?

The second book in the Guardians of the Universe series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Qroko, one of the fiercest warriors in the Zahothian military and human Mya's story of suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, and romance. We also find out what happened to Avi. A story that I found was well worth reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a well written book with lots of action and heat all the way through it. You will get drawn into the story and care for the characters pretty quick. It is a bit of a slow burn that catches on fire near the end. It is a great story and I will be looking for more books by this author. It is well worth the time to read. It is a HEA ending with no cliff hanger.

Liberated by Qroko

Mya used to be gainfully employed but now the Nepharans did not even go through the pretence of being benevolent aliens. Lucky the Zahothians really were Earth's friends so the first wave did their best until more troops showed. The grammatical errors seem to increase as this series continues so there is that.

Liberty is not easily won

She thought she would find liberty through death but that was not to be. She did find liberty and love for which she would be eternally grateful!

A series worth reading

Just completed Mya's story and enjoyed it as much as Avi's. I'll definitely be reading more of this author's books

Let down

Bit let down in the fact I'd like it read a good alien syfy book without so much ridiculous sex in it.
