This book is so timely and it's told in a rhyming text that makes learning about germs easy to understand. I love how kids will be empowered to make choices like washing hands, covering sneezes, and getting plenty of sleep and how that translates into doing their part to fight off the germs that make them sick. The illustrations support the text with a warm color palette that is calming and friendly. I can see a few kids inspired to dress up as doctors and scientists after reading this book as they discover how the role of scientists and doctors work to keep everyone healthy and safe.

This book is an engaging and impressively thorough introduction to germs for the youngest readers. With flawless rhythm and rhyme (so hard to do!), it explains what germs are, how they can make you sick and all the different ways we can stay healthy. The illustrations are bright and colorful and they feature kids in the roles of doctors, nurses and scientists. This is a fun read packed with information!
