Steven James Pemberton is an English actor, comedian and writer, best known as a member of The League of Gentlemen with Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss, and Jeremy Dyson. Pemberton and Shearsmith also co-wrote and appeared in the sitcom Psychoville and the comedy-drama Inside No. 9. His other television credits include Doctor Who, Benidorm, Blackpool, Shameless, Whitechapel, Happy Valley and Mapp and Lucia.

This was the last book in a three part release. It follows exactly the same format as the previous two volumes and again it was fascinating to learn more about the authors’ motivations and thought processes when writing the scripts.

I particularly enjoyed reading the scripts for Riddle of the Sphinx and Diddle Diddle Dumpling, because both included extra material that there was no running time for in the final episodes. It definitely added to my understanding and enjoyment of both these episodes and I look forward to rewatching them with this new information.

Once more, I will say that it is definitely best to watch the episodes before reading this; some of these stories really benefit from you having the visual representation in your mind before you read them.
