I write and illustrate books for children. I love to laugh, I love to have fun. I do not have time for mean people. Life is too short to not do what you love for a living. Or deal with mean people.

I like smiling. It's my favorite.

My 5 1/2 year old was very eager to read The Luckiest Day at bedtime last night. As we read, she was very engaged with the story and stopped to ask questions along the way. “I forget, why is his arm like that?” she wanted to know when we got to a page with the character, Vin, a boy with a limb difference. We talked about how that’s just how he was born and then moved right along. His differences weren’t the focus of the book, but they allowed my daughter to be introduced to a child with a limb difference and ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I love that she sees and CONNECTS with all kinds of kids with different abilities and backgrounds in the Whatif Monster Chapter Book Series.

When we finished reading she begged for just one more chapter before bed. I told her that we had read the last chapter and the book was over. She said she wished this book had 1000 more chapters!!

Happy kid and Happy Mom :)
