Undercover officer Reed Steele has an obsession: Enrique Otero, the vicious gang leader who, in his youth, gunned down Steele's ten year old brother, Dante. All Steele wants to do is take Otero down but at what cost to his friends, family and career?

Very clichéd but an ok read for entertainment. The ending feels rushed and very abrupt, like the author got bored and wanted to skip on to another story.

Steele is out to avenge his brother's death. Does he also have a death wish? A tragic, intense, and sinister story of gangs, death and retribution. Gut-wrenching and terrifying. Recommended.

The third prequel is pretty good. Gives us Reed Steele who will feature in the novels. Pretty gritty city gang stuff.
