About the author

Becky is a children’s book editor and sometimes author from the South West of England. Her favourite things are animals, books about magic, and anything sparkly. In a parallel universe she lives in Hawaii, where she works in a dog sanctuary and surfs until the sun sets beyond the horizon.

This book works best for a child who has mastered basic vocabulary. You'll want to ask them "what's this?" while pointing to a picture of a flashlight and see if they know the word.

My edition was a board book, but it teaches more advanced technical vocabulary relevant to a doctor's office (eg. X-ray, stethoscope, thermometer, outfit).

This is a boring book for an adult reader, but I appreciate getting kids to imagine themselves in various professions.
