Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers #8

Firefighter Dragon's Demi-God Daughter

Rate this book
A dragon shifter and the daughter of a demi-God must work together to save the world from a monstrous threat.

The Demi-God’s Daughter

I carry the blood of the Gods.
I have never known a life without duty.
At an early age, I learned that even the Gods could be killed.
My father was a soldier, and a demi-God.
He was the son of Ares, the God of War. But that did not keep him safe.
My grandfather raised me, and I learned about demons, and how to fight them.
And as an adult, I became an agent with the FBI.
At my job, I protect humans. In my free time, I protect my own kind.
I don’t date, and I don’t have friends. I am neither God, nor human.
Then I meet Jackson.
I mistake my handsome firefighter for a demon, and I try to kill him.
Despite our rough beginning, I find myself drawn to him, and he gives me another chance.
This sexy dragon shifter is exactly the kind of mate I need.
But I have always been on the outside. Can I let this gorgeous shifter in?

The Firefighter Shifter

As a bachelor, my life is exactly how I want it.
I spend my days putting out fires and rescuing humans.
I have a great clan on the coast of Oregon, and a close-knit crew at the fire station.
I don’t need a female to be happy.
Until I meet Helena.
She comes blazing into my life.
While I’m working, she runs at me, with her dagger outstretched.
We fight, and then I learn the truth.
Her dagger is made for killing one thing -- demons.
These monsters are close by, and they pose a threat to us all.
But can I trust Helena near my clan?
She is not human, nor is she a shifter. She will not reveal her heritage.
But we grow closer, and from her I learn to fight this new enemy.
My dragon insists she is my mate.
But my beautiful Helena is still a mystery to me, and her secrets threaten to tear us apart.
Before it’s too late, can I convince my gorgeous mate to share the truth with me?

Will Helena, daughter of a demi-God, allow her dragon shifter mate to show her what it means to be part of a loving clan?

Another great book to the series. This one brings Jackson and Helena's story. She's a strong willed daughter of a Demi-God and he's a dragon shifter firefighter. The author pulled me in from page one reading their story. The attraction is strong and their chemistry is off the charts but they have a few issues to work out. She brings drama and tons of action as well as some very steamy scenes and weaves an action packed story with perfectly painted scenes. I was glued to the pages right to the last page. Loved the story and especially loved the epilogue. Highly recommend reading.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Jackson and Helena
Good story.
I have enjoyed this series from the start. I had problems with the earlier books due to serious editing issues. But I have always loved the characters and the world she has built for these dragons and their families.
With the last book, the books have steered away from the original Irish dragons. With this book we are introduced to the dragon clan that calls the Pacific Northwest home.
A new region, a new clan, and new threats.
Jackson was introduced in his cousin’s book (Rockstar Dragon). I loved him. He was a really good guy. Very easy going, likable. Completely dedicated to his clan. Absolutely not looking for a permanent relationship, let alone his mate.
Helena is the daughter of a Demi-God and a human. She’s not accepted by either world. Raised by her paternal grandfather (who is a bit unique himself), she has never been comfortable living with her father’s family. But the human world has a hard time with her “different ness”. She chose to live and work among the humans. As an FBI agent. When an old enemy shows up in Oregon, she is assigned the case.
She knows what to expect from her enemy. What she is not expecting is the strange creature she meets walking through the burning building.
Jackson. Who is unlike any creature she’s ever met. And she can’t take her eyes off of him, or stop thinking about him.
I liked this story.
Jackson and Helena fall for each other almost instantaneously. They are mates, so the attraction and chemistry is there. I just missed a little of the courting and getting to know each other.
I really liked this new clan. It’s a well established, older clan, who unlike other dragon clans have managed to avoid trouble with the witches.
The epilogue takes us back to Ireland for the dragons annual get together. I loved the small glimpses of the original couples, and the kids.
What I would have liked is an update on all of the earlier couples. At the end of each book the couple usually finds out they are pregnant, but there have been no updates on the new babies.
The story was well written and edited. For a shorter story, it had a lot of action, and a fair amount of steamy scenes.
I will read the next one.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book. I liked the connection between Jackson and Helena. Helena, is the daughter of a Demi-God and Human, Ares, the God of War is her Grandfather and Zeus is her Great-Grandfather. Helena has been taught her whole life to hunt and rid the earth of demons and works for the FBI. Her Grandfather Ares tells her that demon’s are causing trouble in a certain location so Helena takes her magical kn*fe and goes to the warehouse that has been set on fire, she doesn’t find a demon but she finds Jackson instead. Helena initially thinks that Jackson is a demon and starts to attack him but Jackson stop her from fatally st*bbing him but her magical knife still nicks him and it burns like a b*tch. Helena realises that she’s made a mistake and agrees to meet Jackson later so she can give him answers on what she’s investigating and why she attacked him so he can protect his clan from danger. Jackson feels and instant attraction to Helena but it takes him awhile to realise that she’s actually his mate.

I liked that Jackson didn’t pry to find out what type of supe Helena is after she told him that she can’t tell him what she is. I thought the chemistry between Jackson and Helena was off the charts. Will Helena ever be able to forgive Jackson for trying to stop her from fighting the demon’s, even though she’s not only a trained FBI Agent but a demon hunter as well? I liked that Jackson wasn’t just being overprotective. He’d just realised that they’re mates so his dragon wasn’t helping the situation, plus his clan aren’t warriors so he’s used to them not fighting because they’ve never had too. Jackson’s clan hasn’t faced any threats like the Irish and Portugal clans have. I enjoyed meeting his clan, especially his best friend and scientist Eli and I’m really looking forward to reading his story and seeing who his mate ends up being. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Helena is the daughter of a Demi-God. During the day she is an FBI Agent. At night she works to protect her own kind. She doesn't take any time for herself. No friends or relationships. Jackson, is a firefighter and a dragon shifter. Helena mistakes him for a demon and attempts to kill him. She does not succeed. Even though she attacked him, Jackson and his dragon know she is their mate. But can he trust her? She is not human, nor is she a shifter. Helena will not reveal her heritage to Jackson. Why? What is she hiding? He longs for his mate, but he must protect his clan. How can he allow her near them without her revealing what she Is? He is at an impasse and isn't sure where to turn. Can Helena finally trust him to know the real her, or are they destined to a future without their mate? This is one helluva book. An exciting and enjoyable "can't put down" reading experience. Five stars? Not nearly enough. Remember if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

Looks like another great novel to me, to add to the growing series. Can't wait for more to see who gets who and what else is in store for this new group of dragons. Really loved this particular book, due to it's mythology ties to the Greek Gods. Hopefully there's more to come out of the mythology world too. The characters were great and strong. The storyline and plot were very good too.
Jackson's so use to the grind of being a firefighter. He's not lonely, but he not so sure about finding his forever mate. Where he likes the humans, he hopes that he never gets tied to one forever. Though he'd love her forever, he's more worried about hurting her by accident than anything. The fire's lately have been weird and out of control of late. Nothing makes sense, until a hot little thing from Portland Oregon shows up and starts investigating the fires. He gets the feeling that she knows more than what she is saying..., but what is she hiding?

While investigating a fire Jackson encounters Helena and knows she is not fully human.
Dragon shifter Jackson Hudson works as a firefighter in a station that is fully staffed by dragon shifters and being a dragon means they can go into fires as long as they are discreet and do so away from humans. While investigating a fire he realizes there is something wrong with it and finds a tar like substance on the wall. Then he become aware of another presence but when he locates it he is attacked by a female who is not fully human. FBI agent Helena Mars had been send to look for demons who had come through a portal. Her grandfather had use his powers to influence get the assignment and being Ares the God of Wars he always got his way. Investigating the site of a fire she senses a non human presence and thinks it is a demon in disguise so she attacks but realizes she is mistaken.

This book was so good and a quick read and the series just gets better and better and I’m looking forward to the next one. Helena is a demigod and an FBI agent by day but at night she hunts demons. Jackson is a dragon shifter and a firefighter and there has been a lot of strange fire spring up lately and with the help from his clan and work mates they are trying to figure out what’s going on. When he meets Helena she try’s to kill him thinking he is demon and his dragon is trying to work out what she is because she not a shifter or human so what is she and why does his dragon keep saying mate and can he trust her at all. When she meet Jackson all she want to do was kill the demon but soon realizes her mistake and now they must work together to stop the evil demons at all cost. Can they learn to trust each other and go with pull thats so strong connecting them together or will they fail and lose each other.

Another great read from Brittany like always she draws you into her world and doesn't let you go until you turn the last page you know there will be drama and suspense but you also know that true love will win

Through the day Helena is a FBI agent but at night she works to keep supernatural beings like her self safe So when she thinks she has found a demon she tries to kill him The only problem is Jackson may work as a firefighter but he is also a dragon shifter Luckily when she tries to kill him she doesn't succeed because Jackson and his dragon know she is their mate Why is she so secretive about what she is because he knows she isn't human and he knows she isn't a shifter Will he find out she is the daughter of a demi-god and can they have a future together You will have to read to see

Gods and dragons, what a combination!

Helena is Ares' granddaughter and works for not only the Gods, but the FBI also. Jackson is a dragon working with his clan as firefighters. Demons have found their way to Earth and are causing all kinds of mayhem. The first time Helena meets Jackson she tries to kill him thinking he's a demon. I loved how laid back and calm Jackson was about the demons and his need to protect his clan. Watching Helena interact with her family on Mount Olympus was almost funny. Ares really made me laugh and showed his true feelings for Helena. My favorite part was Jackson's mother scolding the ancient God of War. This is an action packed, fast paced fight for the Gods, humans and shifters against demons, with a sprinkle of humor throughout. I really enjoyed this one.

Up to the 8th book in this series now and I have to admit they are getting better. I'm not sure if I noticed any typos, so that's a plus. There is just one thin though; I don't understand how 8 different dragon shifters from different clans and different parts of the world all do and say the same exact things during sex. They all perform the act the same way and their mates all react the exact same way. Actually, the conversations, if you want to call them that, are less stilted in this book than they were in the beginning. Still, it's amazing. The stories are all formulaic and I already know what's going to happen, but it's enjoyable.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and found it very entertaining.

I just love reading a story by Brittany White. Like all the other stories in this series, you can’t help but fall in love with the characters in this story. Jackson and Helena are fated to find each other and like all the others in this series, there’s bound to be something that keeps them from falling instantly in love and have a HEA without any form of drama. But eventually, they fall in love and keep the fires burning so you will have to have a cool drink to cool yourself down. The story is well written and flows beautifully and draws you in so you just can’t put it down.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

Jackson, Garrett’s cousin, is about to meet his mate. Helena is the granddaughter of Ares the War God. She is mostly human but contains enough goddess in her to fight demons. She has always felt out of place. She has a job with the FBI and they send her to check out some fires. She discovers demons are setting them~ At one of them, she meets Jackson after she tries to kill him. They meet up, talk, and he realizes she is his~ They get a romance going, but will her family approve? Will they be able to stop the demons? What about the rest of the dragon clans…will they accept her and her family? I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Firefighter Dragon's Demi-God Daughter by Brittany White is the eighth book n the Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers series. This was a great addition to the series. I absolutely enjoyed this read with its fast pace and sexy storyline. (Mature Readers Only Please) Helena is a Demi-God's daughter and an FBI agent chasing down demon attacks. Jackson is a dragon shifter and firefighter. When their worlds collide they must work together to carryout a successful mission for Helena and keep Jackson's clan (and the world) safe from demons. Will the Gods of Mount Olympus help or hinder?

Another wonderful addition to the series!! Helena and Jackson kept captivated and glued to the pages. Helena is a demigod and also an FBI agent by day. Jackson is a fire fighter and dragon shifter. She makes a mistake and thinking Jackson is a demon and attacked him. His dragon knows there is something special about Helena but can he trust her? He knows that she is not a shifter or human but what exactly is she? Can he trust her around his clan when he doesn’t even know what kind of supe she is?

Nice romp

I've noticed that the stories seem to get a little shorter as they go. It's a shame really has the author showed that she could create a good world and incorporate other mythological into her world. At least it seemed that way. It seems that as they get away from the original 4 or5 original characters and their kids the author lost interest. I mean this one ends at their third annual reunion and never mentions the babies that were due in that time period. Well if you want a HFN and a nice romcom you can get it here.

Liked the premise of the book, but the feeling of finishing this book reminds me of eating something you think is going to be yummy, but it’s either hollow or almost flavorless. I keep thinking of bread or cake with a giant air bubble in it. The characters almost insta-love each other without knowing hardly anything about each other. The villains seem like an afterthought. There are times when the writing just skips some steps. Lots of telling rather than showing; very little descriptive prose. Main characters are very 2D.

Dragon Firefighter & Child of a Demi-God

She lost her parents to a demon attack many years ago and was raised by her grandfather. Her father was a Demi-God and her mother human, she doesn't have all the powers as a Demi-God but she's got some. He's a dragon shifter who isn't exactly looking to get married and very happy as he is. He smells something that isn't human, shifter, fae or witch, it intrigues him. He isn't as knowledgeable able about all what is real or mythical, but he's learning quickly.

Helena and Jackson's story is an enjoyable addition to this series. Helena is a demigod who works for the FBI hunting bad guys but she also protects supernatural whenever she can. Jackson's a dragon shifter who works as a firefighter, when they first met she mistook him for a demon and attacked him.

Jackson's dragon knew straight away that she was special but she's not a shifter nor is she human. So what is she and more importantly can she be trusted?

Our dragon’s world is getting bigger, from Texas, Ireland, Portugal and now Oregon. But it looks like danger never ends for thus dragons. Our Firefighter Hero, Jackson, is fighting alongside the daughter of a demi-god, Helena.

Their families are quite opposite. Her grandfather likewise provided a little comic relief. For someone who is a war freak, he still loves his granddaughter. I am curious to know what the next story will be about now that the roads have branched of to Olympus.

I so enjoyed getting to know Nelson and his clan in Washington state. It was a different platform for the female character, Helena, but totally enjoyed the surprise of her being. Different antagonists was interesting part of the story too.

Meeting the dragons of Washington state was great and looking forward to hopefully meeting more of the group in later books. I truly enjoy this series and looking forward to the next book.

It’s a quirky romantic story

This is a sweet romantic story that has all the feels. The story belongs to Jackson and Helena. Jackson is the most considerate dragon shifter that you will ever meet. Although he keeps saying that he is one of the toughest ones in his clan. He is also a EMT and firefighter. Helena is a FBI agent who has a secret and a secret family. Helena is working on a supernatural case and meets Jackson. The story takes off from there. Read On!

Jackson

I liked the storyline and loved the romance between them, loved the gods but I thought that could of been more funny and the gods could of showed up more and had funny moments with the shifters. After all the are family now linked by married bloodlines.the gods are high up on them selves but have the age of time and wisdom but the dragons are good and loyal something the gods should love about them it could of been a very funny bonding.

Fun quick read. A dragon and a Demi-God, what a match. Can two independent, head strong beings learn to trust each other and find love? Part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Demons have come to earth. What and who will it take to rid the earth of them? Recommend. Received an ARC and this is my honest voluntary review.

Cute story

Probably didn’t help that this is the first book in the series that I e read instead of book one. But I’d never read the author before and wanted a trial run. I liked it well enough to maybe try other books in the series. I like the world that was created but since this was a novella, it all went by too fast. I did enjoy it though.

An On Going Excitement

If it wasn't something or another, there was something happening. That's what it felt like through out the whole story. The whole story was full of whatever Excitement for whatever happening. The author did a excellent job in writing about this shifter and his life, good and so-so.

Love conquers all !!

Loved this book...this entire series ! Short enough to read in an afternoon or evening but full of everything needed to make a great story. Fast paced, danger and love and a great standalone read or as a fantastic continuing storyline. Love how the author brings a bit of previous story characters into each book.

Supernatural

Jackson and Helena team up to fight the demons attempting to cause chaos in Jackson's town. Helena happily teaches the dragons to defend themselves, but guards her heart behind a wall. Will Jackson's clan and Helena win against the demons or will the demons kill one of them?
I love this story because of the elements of mythology twisted throughout.

Nice Read!

Helena and Jackson, what a pair! Both from different worlds, but so alike. There was so much chemistry between these two! I liked how the author pulled Greek mythology into the paranormal world for this book. I do believe everyone will enjoy reading this book! I definitely recommend it to others.
