While this book had stories I hadn't heard before, I couldn't give it more than 3 stars because I felt like I was being talked to like a kid the whole time. Granted, this book gets points for being written better than what I could do, but I'm not someone who needs their hand held when reading about the paranormal. Maybe I'm just taking it too seriously. I really only picked it up because the back mentioned the shipwreck of the Lady Elgin and I'm all ears if you mention it.

Editiing is much tighter than Ghosts of Madison, Wisconsin and the index is amazing, but my wish for both of these books is a local editor who knows what's what. The typos and errors distract me from the fun, folksy ghost stories. And that is what should be the focus.
