This was a useful account of the history of Spurgeon's Pastor's College, bringing it up to the present day (which was itself helpful - I didn't realize the College had endured so long!). The writing was dry, and the theological perspective unclear (Nicholls seems to subtly side against Spurgeon in the Downgrade Controversy and seems more sympathetic to theological latitude). But still a useful treatment of one of CHS' main life works.
