A Book of Villains

Rate this book
Imagine learning everything your mother has ever told you was a lie.

Winter break is over, but no one has seen or heard from Mui. Her roommate hasn’t heard a peep since they last spoke. Messages from her boyfriend have gone unread and unanswered. And worst of all, her mother knows the reason.

Sei had always insisted Mui’s father was dead. That is, until he abducted her.

Sei must team up with the headmaster and assistant headmaster at Confrere Preparatory Academy to rescue her daughter. From the start, they face violent attacks on their lives. Sei knows who’s behind them: Ethan Carmotte. She’s convinced he’s playing a game of revenge, and Mui is his pawn. Unless Sei can beat him at his own game, she’ll risk losing her daughter for good.

Moving at breakneck speeds, A Book of Villains will keep you breathless and on your toes. Hang on.

Mr. Ty Hutchinson’s new book “A Book of Villains” is a downright SMASH! This was non=stop action from the very first sentence! The CAST was just outstanding, Nanuli, Ryan played bit parts this time as the focus was on MUI, SEI, BLACK, CROMWELL and KINGSLEY. This epic transpired on the Sargasso Sea and talk about hi-jinks, this had it all!

Once the discovery of Mui’s missing from school this book was non-stop full action rescue! We saw a side of SEI that we had not seen before, that was a deep Mother’s LOVE for her daughter! Rallying around the help of the aforementioned BLACK, CROMWELL and KINGSLEY, the action kept coming as “ARTHUR” has thwarted every turn the team had made. “Arthur” played and planned this out like the Swiss Made Watches! The clues he left the direction that was taken, the attempted misdirection’s were planned each and every step of the way! Every step he knew they would take or follow he had opposition! All inside the context of every move was plausible, calculated, and realistic in every page a twist a turn an about face. Four steps forward and nine steps back to square one!

The descriptive language from the author was on point as Mui’s fate was in danger on every page! Yet this young 17-year young Assassin stood her ground with the help from Shango and Kazmer! Stood it long enough for the help to arrive and this CHAPTER is far from OVER as you will see!
I was glued to each page, each chapter holding a key element of this fascinating book was so perfectly executed! Ty Hutchinson spun a web that kept you in the palm of his writing until he cut the cord on you and let you fall into the Sargasso Sea with MUI!

This roller coaster of a tomb will be long remembered as a CLASSIC from our friend, Ty Hutchinson! I am so ready for the next Chapter as what SEI will do and how she will eradicate this devilish monster as only she can! This “A BOOK of VILLAINS” is in my opinion a Classic Movie awaiting to happen, it is THAT GREAT!

All I can say is WOW!!! Ty Hutchinson FANS this is a KEEPER! YOU will absolutely LOVE this and will be anxiously awaiting the next installment on what SEI will do and whom she will enlist to aid her in the diabolical assault on SEI’s daughter MUI!!!

Respectfully,

Once again, Ty Hutchinson delivers a fast-paced and gripping read. The Book of Villains, Book 4 in the Mui series, thrusts Sei—a retired assassin—into immediate action when her daughter is kidnapped by the last person she ever expected or wanted to see again.
To rescue Mui, Sei reunites with her former mentor, Basil, the headmaster of her daughter’s school, along with Dorothy Black, the assistant headmaster. Together, they work to bring Mui home safely.
Packed with action and filled with twists and turns, this installment delivers a gripping story from start to finish. Hutchinson once again weaves together a strong blend of characters from his other series, making The Book of Villains another highly enjoyable and compelling read.

Once again I really enjoyed this book. Mui disappears returning from her holiday from school. She is not noticed missing until the following day when her friend notifies the deputy head. Her mum Sei is contacted and between the school and Sei they start to look for her.
If you want to read this book I would recommend you start with Sei’s series and then follow the books in order.
I can’t recommend enough that you read these books Ty Hutchinson definitely has an amazing imagination and manages to bring alive his characters for the reader.

While full of action and quite exciting, I was a little disappointed in this book. First, it doesn’t seem like Mui is actually the main character. Second, the ending made me feel like the book was really just a buildup to advertise for the author’s other series. I don’t mind a tie-in or cliffhanger but this didn’t feel like either of those and more like a giant arrow pointing at his other books.

Family isn’t always everything

In this book for Mui she finds out the hard truth about everything she always wanted to know. Blood isn’t always thicker then water. Family isn’t always people you can trust.

Fantastic read

This was a fantastic book, which included the return of Sei. While I've enjoyed the Mui series, I have very much missed the adventures of Sei. This book does not disappoint. The release of the next in the Sei series cannot come soon enough!!

Oh my, what a climax

Mui is kidnapped and held for complicated reasons. She shows her skills and manages to get out of her prison cell. Then things become very complex. A great conclusion to the Mui series.
