A great read-aloud that we worked through at a chapter-a-day pace (although it could be read much faster). The style makes the biblical themes in Judges & Ruth stand out in an accessible way that sticks in a kid brain. We started reading Ruth straight from the Bible after finishing this book and my kids said, "We can understand it!"
