This book is an in depth look at first hand writings from the legendary director. The book includes interviews, lectures, parts of an unfinished memoir, details about unfinished projects with partial scripts, and plenty of great information about the director. This book is meant for aficionados who are very familiar with the works of King Hu. It has many nuances about his life that were completely new to me, a super fan who has listened to many audio commentaries of his films. Roger Garcia edited this book well and adds great context to every section with notes before each section. This is an invaluable resource and a book that should be on the shelf of every King Hu fan.
