Watercolor techniques for landscapes

I liked the way it is written, by using more simple terms and precise, direct way for easy reading to understand how to do what you need to paint. Wet to wet technique, and then wet to dry technique etc. How to show the mood of the painting. The beauty of a sunset, brings in wow! stage and peace of mind. Then goes a little extreme moods, different technique in the clouds. Showing the weather, how to do clouds for a storm, rain and wind, fast pace wind (blowing things around). I hope you'd enjoy reading it. Might be for a beginner to the next level to be a reference guide to remind you how to do it. How to set up your painting so it can keep the person's interest in the painting. Place the subject at the correct angle, or what part of the subject to keep or don't include at all.

Succinct Advice

I like this book because it doesn’t take too long to read, but covers the main aspects of creating brisk watercolours.
There are some lovely paintings in the book.
However some are not quite so inspiring.
Overall, worth buying, especially at the price I paid for the Kindle version.

Meh…

At this point in my watercolor journey, I use these books to get to know the artists’ work more than learn their technique. Talbot-Greaves is a well-known painter and teacher. There’s nothing in this book you won’t glean from the other 20 on your shelf. But his style is unique — and these paintings are well worth a look!

Great tips, though the samples are not all as inspiring as I’d like.
