Birdie Collins is on a mission to find her two missing sisters. They are, however, the most responsible of the Collins girls, and they’ve vanished. It isn’t like them to disappear, not answer phone calls, not call their mother regularly.
Her worries vanish just as instantly as her sisters did when one minute she’s driving in Arizona and the next she’s in the middle of the hot desert—alone, without her car anywhere in sight.
A mysterious man on a horse scoops her up and takes her to a house, where she promptly passes out.
When she awakens, she’s met with a man. A beautiful man. He looks like he’s been ripped from the pages of an Old West history book. He’s tall and lean, his hair is a bit too long, but those green eyes render her speechless.
Colton James has known love. He was married once, and his wife was cruelly taken from him as a spoil of war. Even as the King of the Frontier, he vows never to marry again, no matter how badly his country officials beg for him to.
An ancient prophecy that her sisters have already set into motion is only solidified as Birdie joins them in their world. Magic fills the skies as they resist and fall deeply for one another, fighting the eclectic pull that the gods have created inside of them.
Will love be enough for the couple? Can it forgive hurts from the past? Is what they share even real or merely a mirage from the gods? If they cannot find their way together, the entire country will assuredly be in peril.
Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
It's okay. Best read series in order as there is a plot that runs through each book, one book deals with one of 4 sisters. Hero has intimate scene with other woman at the start. He also, true to the author's style makes no promises of fidelity to the heroine, even when asked directly. But that said although he tries to be with someone else he realises the error of his ways before any intimacy and leaves. Fantasy based. Previous characters and couples appear. Extra book included abut a side character. Hero needs a good slap for most of the book but does redeem himself a bit at the last minute. HEA implied but I think in the next book about the last sister the reader may see them living that HEA.

Book 3 in this fantasy series features Birdie and Colton. Birdie is on a mission to find her missing sisters. She finds herself in the dessert her car is gone and she is alone. Until Colton finds her. I don’t like to give spoilers so just read the book. You could read it as a standalone but you’ll get more enjoyment if you start with book 1.
So Bride of the Frontier is my favorite of the series. Colton is a cowboy (wink wink) that has no need for any woman since he had already been married to the love of his life. He has loved and lost everything and is more than willing to use the many loose women that are available around.
When the third sister Birdie shows up out of nowhere Colton is responsible for her. These two are instantly attracted to each other, and Birdie has some major magic in her which she will have to learn to use. But Colton doesn't make it easy on her when jealousy, possessiveness, and trust become an issue between these two lives can become endangered.
Bride of the Frontier is the 3rd book out of the 4 and I could not put it down. Hayley has a way of dragging you in and not letting you out. I had to finish it so that I knew these two would have their happy ever after.
This is fast becoming one of my fave fantasy series!!
I love how different all the “worlds” are. Every book brings a different sister into the mix and I enjoy how varied their personalities are and the men they are paired with.
This one has a very different western feel and I was hooked from the first chapter. Plenty of action, betrayals and a dash of heartbreak. I can’t wait to see the next sister arrive.
Birdie Collins is a photographer, enjoying her single life, when her two sisters go missing. She starts out to find them and soon finds herself alone in the middle of the hot Arizona desert. When she awakens in a strange bed with a beautiful man straight out of the Old West staring down at her, she knows that the life she had is over.
Colton James is a former military man, now tasked with being the King of the Frontier. He was married once but vows to never love again. These two soon find out that there is an ancient prophecy that involved Birdie and her sisters. "If the four sisters come together once their fate has been sealed, they will absorb all of the power this world holds."
Birdie is introduced to a witch named Florence who tells her, "You're full of magic, dear girl." But Birdie knows nothing of magic or prophecy. Birdie and Colt are irrestibly drawn to each other and a hot and steamy love affair begins. Is this all part of the prophecy or just plain lust?
Birdie just wants to find her sisters and go home, not fulfill some ancient prophecy. "This place kind of sucks and I'm pretty ready to go back home." Her experience with corsets is laugh out loud funny as she nearly starves to death because of the fashion of the day.
This book is reminiscent of Outlander because of the time-travel aspect and the instalust. If you are offended by cursing (lots of f-bombs) or hot steamy sex scenes, steer clear of this book. If you enjoy fantasy, the Old West, magic, and steam, give it a try.
Another keeper in this ongoing series about 4 sisters who are all sent to alternate dimensions to fulfill a prophecy. We loved the story with talking animals who share thoughts and communications with those that are blessed. Both mystical and ordinary.
We loved Birdie and Colton they were a lot of fun. Not only that, but we loved Birdie boldness and frankness and loved how she just fit right in and was loved by all even though she remained a mystery.
Colton made us laugh time and time again that man just kept stepping in it as they say. Time and Time again he made mistakes with Birdie and when he did we loved Birdie raining hell fire down on him as it was priceless.
Overall we enjoyed the story from beginning to end. We loved all the characters good and bad, and we loved the surprises they wrought. It's nice to that each story they learn about the prophecy and what is fore told about it but, it still remains a mystery on why these sisters were chosen for this life altering mission.
It was cute to see this couple fumble along with each other Birdie who was practically a virgin matched to a man who loved, lived, lost and has been raised in a very dangerous life almost the complete opposites of Birdie ends up being his match in every way. This is one of those stories that has mystery and suspense and love and laughter tangled with the element of magic which make the story all the more interesting and enticing and was one of those feel good stories that makes you smile.
I have enjoyed these books by this author, I honestly think she does the stories really well and the plot and overall series arc really interests me.
I had a hard time with this heroine. Seriously, he told her he loved her how many times and then next chapter, she figures he doesn't like her and she's leaving. He pledges his devotion and next page she wants to sleep apart because he doesn't communicate. I mean... I don't know what this woman wants! She came across as though she was always unhappy with Colt. She didn't get to be queen, she didn't have a castle, she thought the soldier was hot and I mean, who cares because Colt is mean .. she made me nuts.
I did like Colt, and this country felt so much different than the other ones in the series it felt like a whole different world but I enjoyed the world building. I'm excited for the next in the series!
This is the third book in the prophecy. Birdie is driving thru the Arizona desert looking for her 2 missing sisters and all of a sudden she is in a different world of cowboys. Shes dressed in pants and Colton wanted to know why she's dressed like a man. Well she is from a totally different world. She had to adjust to their old fashioned world. She had to dress like a 1800 woman. She is determined to find her sisters.
Colton is very drawn to her and when he makes her cry the weather changes. She doesn't realize she has magical powers. There were times I wanted to scream at Colton then I'm crazy about him. The sex is off the charts.
I have read quite a few cowboy romance stories but nothing like this. I highly recommend this series.
Loving this series. All the couples in this series are amazing. The story gets you right from the beginning. You can not put this book down as soon as you read it. Birdie makes into a different dimension and falls into a western looking town and the man in charge of is Colton James. At the beginning he was a total a**hole. I understand he lost his wife in a tragedic manner, but he is was really hard for Birdie for to fall in love with a man when he was still attached to his past.
Another winner in this series of books. Great characters and plot along with some humor and action. Good twists and turns. Plus some additional information on one of the other characters in this book. A very enjoyable book.
This series just keeps getting better and better I'll be gutted when it finishes, I can't wait for dru to arrive I wonder which land she will appear in and who her king will be and what will happen when the prophecy is complete , so exciting 😍😍😍
The third installation of the series is good but did not love Colton James. Birdie's easy acceptance of the countries resounding misogony and second class treatment of women disappointing. Overall a good read and looking forward to the last installment of the series.
I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in this series. Like I said in the first review this isn’t normally the genre I even pick up but she’s proven there is a whole world out there I’m missing!
This story is a great continuation of the series. After reading 3 out 4 of the books i do notice this author has a way of writing each books the makes each book seem really similar. Overall it is a good book
Love love love love (can you tell I needed to add a few words) Love how this story went and how it adds to the overarching storyline throughout the series!!
2.5/5 rounded up. I didn’t really love this book. It was western but different and this “country” felt out of place in a world that felt more medieval/Nordic
Hayley Faiman keeps growing and expanding this fantastical world. The best way to describe this setting in the Bride of the Frontier is the Wild Wild West.
Colt lots his wife and child in the war that also resulted him being in charge of his country. Birdie has wound up in his world unexpectedly, the same way as her sisters in books past. Even-though Colt wants to have nothing to do with a new love, destiny and the pull these two feel cant be denied.
Hayley Faiman writes alpha men. They are rough around the edges, crass, but we love them anyway. In this novel we get some good sister time and even more magic.
OK wow I'm still amazed how fast I fall into a story written by Hayley Faiman I shouldn't be shocked because I love all of her books and I can't wait to devoir them . This would be book three in the Prophecy of sisters series it can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend that you read them in order you won't regret it and you may run in some minor spoilers if you don't . Bride Of the Frontier has to be my favorite in the series loved every moment while reading this it drew me in from start to finish I didn't want to put my reader away. Birdie is the third sister to be sent to another world and she was such a great heroine my heart broke for her at times but not only did I love her heart but the strength she held at times or the moments she was vulnerable . Colton was just WOW can I just have someone call me darlin like foreal swoonsvile people he has a past I won't get into it but what he's been through just hurt my heart he really needed some one like Birdie in his life he could be kind of a butthole at times but just his inner thoughts made me want him to express himself more to the heroine and when he let her in just fireworks people . The bonus book made me happy and sad at the same time I was happy to see this character find a happy ending after what she went through in the past book won't be giving anything away shhhhh . Over all this was a really good story and I can't wait to read the next book in the series and to see if the Prophecy will happen and all the characters find a happy ever after I wonder if they'll be a next gen series hmmmm . stars = 5 hero = 5 heroine = 5 side characters = 5 steam = 4.5
Book 3 of the Prophecy Sisters Series brings us Birdie and Colton.
Birdie is set on finding out what happened to her two missing sisters. Her mother is saying she has seen them in a dream and they are living happy and magically. Birdie is trying to figure out what peyote her mom is smoking while being here in the real world trying to solve this mystery.
In the blink of an eye Birdie is no longer in the Arizona desert and finds herself in a place she has never seen before. It’s clear something is wrong. Maybe her sisters are playing a sick prank and drugged her into believing a western reenactment is real.
Colton is determined to rule is land fairly. That doesn’t mean he is a harsh ruler but he won’t let anyone walk all over him. If a bride is what it will take to solidify his place he’ll do it. The day he decides this a mysterious beauty is found on his land that he finds himself drawn to. He is sure she is a witch because that is the only explanation for the attraction. Problem is witches are illegal in his land and are put to death.
Colton and Birdie are both on individual journeys and they have no idea they are meant to be with each other on those journeys. Birdie is clearly not from his land and Colton is clearly not from her time or space.
It takes drama, passion, heartache and love to bring these two together finally where they realize this is real and they are meant to be.
Now that we have some truths out there that we didn’t have from the first two books I’m highly anticipating the fourth book and what it will bring.
Bride of the Frontier (The Prophecy of Sisters #3) by Hayley Faiman was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Birdie is trying to figure out where her sisters are, no one seems to know where they are but she is determined to find them. While driving her car she finds out what may have happened to his sisters.
Birdie finds herself at the home of a cowboy that found her in the desert. Birdie has no clue where she is and why, she at first feels like someone is playing a joke on her. But she quickly realizes that this is her new reality and she has a very heated attraction to this hot cowboy.
Colton is the leader of his country and finding Birdie is a mystery. He gets the help of a friend to try and find out who Birdie is. They discover there is a prophecy, why was Colton chosen for this? Will Birdie find her sisters? The connection between them quickly grows and you can feel the sparks coming off the pages.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I loved all of the characters. The author does such a great job with her writing that you feel like you're right there in the story. I can’t wait to read more from this series. We also get a bonus story at the end. Loved it! 1-click and get started today.
I voluntarily reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I’m not normally into fantasy romance, or any type of paranormal stories in general. But I just can’t get enough of this series! I read the previous books, but you really don’t have to, definitely can be read as a stand-alone. This third book has got to be my favorite so far. Birdie seemed to be a little more headstrong than her older sisters, and I loved how she stood up to Colton. Colton was the perfect cowboy in a weird world that’s in a different dimension. The one thing that I was waiting to happen and it didn’t was for Birdie to use the camera Colton had gotten for her which sounded like it’d have been some weird contraption from when they first got invented. I was also hoping to see what came of the bra Birdie had landed there with and which her maid took to analyze. I’m really hoping that sister number four brings a pair of sunglasses with her. I am really looking forward to her book!! Anyways, I really loved this story. I also loved the little short story at the end. I love how Hayley Faiman has these little stories at the end about side characters, and this one was perfect.
I have been so excited about each book of this series from Hayley Faiman. As I said with the first two books, fantasy romance usually not my thing, but I've been loving these thus far. Bride of the Frontier is the third book in The Prophecy Sisters series and tells the story of Birdie.
What I loved: I thought the setting and plot for Birdie's story was great. I loved the frontier, the idea of the wild west. Colt is one hot af hero who would make any girl swoon. I mean, the man is alpha cowboy perfection.
Overall I enjoyed it. Was I as in love with this book as I was the other two? No, but that was more a personal preference to the setting and the characters, not reflecting of the story or the author. I am so excited for this last book! I cannot wait to see how this all comes together!
Side note* Be sure to read the easter egg short story tucked at the end of this book. The author will sometimes throw these in about side characters, and I always enjoy them, so you don't want to miss it!
Gah, I cannot get enough of this series by Hayley Faiman. The concept, the passion, the storyline, the full arc that bleeds through this series? Absolutely perfect. I am so lost into the world that has been created that I cannot get enough of it. It is twisty, sizzling and so much more as we delve deeper into the prophecy. This time we get Birdie’s story as she ends up in the wild west of this world. The push and pull with Colt is so raw and intense that it is pure foreplay for these two. She gives as good as she gets and does not back down to him. Even when he pushes, she pulls him right back in and gives him what for! I think what I am really in love with for this series is the fact that they are all interconnected but also able to stand on their own. How things are woven and intertwined. I adored the wit and sass of Birdie and I think she may be my favorite sister yet. I am so looking forward to the next book to see how it all plays out!
I absolutely LOVE this series by Hayley Faiman and I don't want it to end!!!! Colt and Birdie are another great couple. The author immerses you in the 'old west' in this story, only it's not the western US, it's Devilrise-- a country in the alternate universe where her sisters were transported. Devilrise had a war between east and west and Colt was named leader of the land, basically a king without the title. I love the interaction between Colt and Birdie and Birdie's struggle with adjusting to no modern conveniences. That would be so terrible, I don't think I could handle it as well as Birdie. I love seeing her reunited with her sister and her king, the unicorn, the dragon and everything in between. If you want a fantastical read that doesn't disappoint with lots of sexy times, don't hesitate to read this book! I wish I could give it more than five stars.
I'm a fan of The Prophecy of Sisters, but I didn't quite imprint on Bride of the Frontier as I did the previous books. Birdie is out looking for her sisters when she finds herself waking up in a different time, at a man named Colton James' house. He was the issue for me because I didn't really like him at all to be honest because he didn't redeem himself enough, and it did take him a very long time to do so (which was too little too late). I liked Birdie well enough but I felt let down when she accepted a woman's place in this time (she's from a time where that doesn't fly so much) which she shouldn't have as no man is worth all that in my eyes. Anyway, there was an extra bonus of Bride of the Soldier which I did love added in. This is only my opinion so please decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Bride of the Frontier is packed with action, drama, and HOT steamy sex! Birdie Collins is not just a woman, she is one of the four sisters in the ancient prophecy. Transported to another dimension from AZ, she finds herself in Devilrise where for all intention and purpose looks like a dessert, except the ground is of red dirt and the trees have red trunks with gold tipped leaves. Colt is one hot “wild west” alpha leader. Having already loved and lost he takes Birdie as his “lady”. As they get to know each other their bond strengthens, love blossoms to the point of pain and challenges tries to interfere with the prophecy. The journey Hayley takes us on was exciting! The next book can’t come quick enough!!!
If you haven't started this series, then start now. It's the story of four sisters that are transported to an alternate dimension, a completely different world. I love stories like this. Birdie is transported to what we would think of the wild west. There's magic, talking animals, all sorts of mythical creatures. The four sisters need to reunite once they all get to where they are supposed to be and find their love. There is a lot of steamy sex! Can't wait to see where the next sister lands. The story kept me entertained throughout the entire book. I finished it in a day. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
