I hunt dark creatures.

He hunts Sirens like me.

Meanwhile, my Siren family is growing, I’m forced to work with someone who already betrayed me once, and the gods insist on using me and those I love as disposable chess pieces.

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy. Having read both this and the first book, I’ve enjoyed Korrina’s character arc so far. She’s a teenager carrying a tremendous amount of burden, and has to balance her own wants and needs with the responsibilities thrust upon her by a seemingly heartless Council of the Gods—responsibilities she never asked for.

This is a great road trip adventure, constantly moving with lots of twists and turns, interesting takes on mythology in contemporary life, and a strong narrative voice.

Wow!! Where do I begin, Kris Faryn's Book two "Song of Wings" is such an amazing, exciting story. And what better way to tell a story then through myth. Ms. Faryn's writing flows with suspense, wonder, pain, heartbreak, love and every human emotion you can imagine. Her characters are so alive and I connected to each personality. Korrina, which is Greek for maiden, has grown so much since book one "Song of Destiny" and her adventures are deeper with more insight coming to her but she still has that snarky wit and indecision. In "Song of Wings" I felt a deeper soul connection to Korrina as she becomes more aware of herself. When Korrina and her friends passed through the veil and entered the other dimension, I was enwrapped in the description of the realm of the gods and goddesses. Underneath the snarky remarks from everyone during this adventure is a story of the heroine's journey, a journey for the broken and for women who are broken and anyone who has experiences loss or heart ache but there is amazing redemption in this too. Kris Faryn is an author to watch. After reading "Song of Wings" I can't even imagine where Ms. Faryn will go with book three "Song of Curses".
I was given a copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review.

OMG! Kris Faryn totally delivers with the second installment of The Siren's Call.

This book is full of awesome! I love Korrina's voice. There were so many times that she made me laugh out loud and she made me smile. A lot. And I freaking love Jared. Folks, chapter four is awesome. Just sayin'. I love the relationship between these two. I love when a good guy goes dark, but there is still good in there somewhere, but oh my they are dangerous. I love Jared. I love him! The end of this book... All I have to say is that I cannot wait till the next book.

The story flows perfectly and each chapter pulls me through to the next one. The author does a great job with the story and the world. This is a fun read.

A fabulous second book! Korrina is memorable and endearing. The plot is tense as the stakes constantly get higher. And Jared is awesome. The relationship between these two keeps you wanting more. Plus there's the always wonderful mythology, of course! A great read!

Faryn has done it again with Song of Wings. Korrina is learning and growing into her powers, while the stakes keep increasing. I love the mythology, the adventures, and of course Korrina’s sassiness and snark. Can’t wait for book three!

Quite simply, the writing is stunning, the story is complicated yet satisfying, and the characters gave me all the feels. While I did not read the first book in the series, that didn't detract from my enjoyment of this one. There were so many moments where I was gnashing my teeth with anxiety and giving silent fist bumps when things went right. Faryn is an exceptional writer with a gift for emotional, immersive storytelling. This book does not disappoint.

Karrina and her dad have been on the run for 6 months fighting monsters that have escaped into the human world through the veil. Until they are sent a mission request by the Council to fetch a weapon. Turns out, the weapon is another siren like Karrina called Amity. After finding Amity, the Council tasks her with finding the other sirens, but Karrina keeps blacking out and seeing visions being sent by Persephone telling her to save her mother Demeter from someone called the Puppeteer. Now, Karrina not only is trying to find her siren cousins, find and save Jared, but also has to save scary Demeter. Nothing can go wrong right?

Wow! The second book even better than the first! There is so much going on and poor Karrina is literally just trying to keep it together and keep Ania(her other sad half) from taking over and causing chaos instead of hope. She’s still her overly sarcastic self, but she’s trying, especially when it comes to saving family and her friends. I do wish she’d be less impulsive and actually listen to her friends, but hey, I guess that’s Karrina 😅

I love the unique and odd found family Karrina has! Cloud and Danica are back, plus Luke 😍 I have to say, even though he’s still so sketchy, I love that misunderstood anti-hero boy! I hope he just redeems himself! And now we have Amity, Dave and Tanzy to add to this dysfunctional family.

Again, we get a lovely mix of Greek mythology, as well as experience the alternate world where the gods and goddesses reside and experience it more fully.

And now, after that ending 😫 I NEED to know what happens after another one of Karrina’s impulsive and-not-well-thought-out-plans 😂

This is the second book in the Siren's Call Series. In Song of Destiny, Korrina learned she was siren and that she had a part to play in the future of the world. And by the way, her best friend became her worst enemy with a mission to hunt her down and destroy her.

In Song of Wings, Korrina's story continues. She is met with more trials and hardships than any one person should have to face. She has to deal with the loss of people she loves, the weight of her responsibility to save both the human world and the mythological world, and her own sense of security. Be she also finds friends, both old and new, to help her along the way.

Kris Faryn has done an amazing job of developing the character of Korrina and those around her. The emotional growth Korrina undergoes is beautiful to witness. The author has done a wonderful job of world building, and cross-world blending. I can't wait for the next book!

Fans of Greek mythology will love this book. Plus, it has plenty of twists and turns and keeps you on your feet. I like that it is original yet harkens fantasy lore.

Korrina is a siren, and not just any siren. She's gifted with a scepter that holds the veiled world of the Gods and Goddesses together. Her world has been turned upside down. She lost her best friend, a guy she'd grown to love. He's been turned into an evil hunter that is trained to kill sirens. Plus, the man she thought was her dad, isn't. And her mom is being held in the depths of hell. So, she has a lot on her plate.

In this second book of the series we meet the Gods and Goddesses from the veiled world. But nothing is clear as to who Korrina can and cannot trust. She has to figure it out to save her friends, her father, and mother.

The author does a great job at keeping you guessing. I'm excited to see where this series goes.

Song of Wings is a stunning installment in the Siren's Call series. This book continues to follow Korrina and her group of friends as they follow the Council of Gods, find more sirens, and interact with gods and goddesses (no spoilers).

I love love love the author's writing style. It was lovely in book one and I'm pleased to see it's carried through in book two. Korrina herself has such an amazing voice and character development. I also adored the interactions with her and Jared.

Can't wait to read book three!

I was excited to read the second book in this series. While I still really liked this book and can't wait to read the third book, I found I didn't connect with this book as much as the first. I felt like there were still some loose ends that needed to be tied up. Where is the 4th siren? Where is Luke? What happened to her dad? I'm hoping all of this gets answered in the next installment because the second book ends pretty abruptly. Overall, a good read that has a good pace and kept me interested.

Song of Wings is the second in The Siren’s Call series. I was really excited to read more of Korrina’s adventures and I got what I was looking forward.

Korrina’s character was enjoyable just like in the first one. The story itself was even more twisting and action filled. Mythology was always my sweet spot, and I loved how this book had the right amount of it.

I received this ARC for free so this review is voluntary. Korrina's acceptance of Ania has made me happy. I am excited to see how the new team keeps going and I hope that her plan for Jared works. I loved that she recognized pain is part of healing and used it to heal herself and her new friends. I can't wait for the next book.

This is the second book in this siren fantasy series. Korrina, her dad and the owl Neri are on the run to keep afar from Jared who has been turned into a Siren Hunter. More of the plan of the gods is revealed, as are more Sirens. The series is really well written and fascinating. I loved all the Korrina/Jared scenes! 4/5 stars.

Song of Wings is available at your favorite e-book store AND in paperback! Readers are loving the romance in this story, as well as the deeper journey from brokenness to healing.

"The push-and-pull between Korrina and Jared is the best. As enemies, their attraction is bittersweet. In Song of Wings, you feel Jared's heartache. "I dream of you. Even which I'm awake, you're there...No matter what I do, how hard I try, I fail to get you out of my head. You...torture me." I loved reading this, and Faryn didn't disappoint in this second book of The Siren's Call Series." ~ B. Berry

"Underneath the snarky remarks from everyone during this adventure is a story of the heroine's journey, a journey for the broken and for women who are broken and anyone who has experiences loss or heart ache but there is amazing redemption in this too. Kris Faryn is an author to watch. After reading "Song of Wings" I can't even imagine where Ms. Faryn will go with book three "Song of Curses"." ~ Shivani McK
