Reeds-Isle is a short story about adventure, discovery and memories; it is set in a fantasy land in which conflict is rare. A young man named Nova visits Reeds-Isle to visit his Aunt Moon, he wants to reconnect with the Isle and he wants to commemorate his Grandma. Who knows what adventure awaits him.
Writing and reading has always been my passion from a young age. I tend to pick up books which interest me greatly, thus leading to many 5* reviews.
My favourite traditionally published authors are: J.R.R Tolkien, Le Guin, Lord Dunsany, Cormac McCarthy, David Foster Wallace, Charles Dickens, John Steinbeck, Mary Shelley and Louisa May Alcott.
I liked this book. Brent tells a story that is highly detailed, and it reminds me of the type of historical/ fantasy type of stories that always fascinated me from a young age. A story about seeing the little things beyond the bigger picture - a synecdoche of sorts. He pulls it off!
Thank you Brent for bringing Reeds-Isle to life. Everyone needs Aunt Moon in their lives. A heartwarming story from start to finish. I hope I can pay another visit soon. Highly recommended for the young or young at heart.
