Serafin and Mia fell for each other in high school and then one night everything changed and Mia left Krakow. Now Serafin is very powerful and one of the Kings of Krakow. Now years later she is back and needs his help. This time he doesn’t plan on letting her go. Fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns, great characters with plenty of drama, suspense and emotion. The chemistry is steamy and the story draws you in from beginning to end. I really liked it.

I love Deja work and this start to a series took off from almost the first page It is so wonderful to read a series that is actually not set in the US and using Poland gave this story a different feel.

Serafin and Mia where childhood sweethearts even though he was from a wealthy family while she was from the wrong side of the tracks but it all went wrong the night that Serafin lost not only his eye but also Mia Now he is one of the Kings of Krakow and when Mia re-enters his life he is determined that this time he will keep her. This could have so easily become just another second chance romance but like she always does Deja gave it a spin that is entirely her won There is plenty of drama and twists and turns in this latest series from her. Can't wait for more about the kings

Serafin; Social Rejects Syndicate #1 by Deja Voss was a fast paced highly dark emotional romance story set place in Poland revolving organized crime syndicate run by the Kings of Krakow. Serafin and Mia were high school sweethearts in love despite their different backgrounds, Serafin wants to give his mouse all he has to make her happy even if it means defying his parents. One night of violence will destroy this young couple forever when Serafin is attacked and left brutally injured and maimed. When he awakens at the hospital he is told Mia is gone and can not be found leaving him shattered and setting the course of his life Serafin has never forgotten his mouse as she is the only one he would ever love. But secrets, lies and betrayals will play a big part keeping these two lovers apart.

Now 15 years later these two will come face to face. Mia left her husband who is a cop from an abusive marriage, due to his status he took everything from her leaving her with nothing. In order to survive, she and her friend end up doing con jobs to make ends meet, but when a con goes wrong Mia is left helping the man when her friend leaves him in the hotel gasping for life. This one act of kindness will lead her straight to Serafin, now she will have to answer to him as she will need his protection. This is my first book by Deja Voss, and I assure you won't be my last, I loved her writing. This is the first of the Kings of Krakow series, Mia and Serafin's story was fantastic. It's a second chance dark romance, with all the drama you love and perfect balance. The plotline is very interesting, you will be hooked from the start, and will have your emotions in a turmoil. Their journey takes place over years, so be ready for feeling all the raw emotions these two characters will send you through. Lots of twists and turns to keep me on my seat reading until the end. I need to read the next one for sure.

Deja Voss is a new to me author, and now that I've met her writing, I'm the better for it. I have a dark & twisty soul so dark mafia romance is my catnip & this one totally blew me out of the water. Serafin & Mia were in love when they were younger but one night changed everything as Serafin was brutally beaten & Mia disappeared before he woke up in the hospital. It's been 15 years before they came face to face again, and Mia ends up needing his help. See, Serafin is now the brutal, dangerous, and powerful head of the Kings of Krakow, but one look at Mia again, and he's not letting her go again. I'm not saying this was an easy journey because there's a lot to unpack since there are so many secrets that don't make friends with a huge kicker of betrayal thrown in for good measure. My heart was in my throat while I was on the edge of my seat dropping loud f-bombs & that's my happy place, and it also didn't hurt that the chemistry between them was palpable as I truly felt the sparks coming out of my kindle. I'm super excited to read more by the very talented Ms. Voss (past & definitely future because I need more of this trilogy) so sign me up as a new fangirl! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What an interesting story of Serafin and Mia. We have these two who were a couple in high school until something happens and everything changed. Serafin is still pining over a girl who broke his heart. He is now one of the Kings of Krakow and pretty powerful. I love that he does not use his power in a vicious manner. Although if he has to get dirty he will without hesitation. So when Mia blows back into his life, he cannot believe his eyes. However, she was not trying to get back into his life for some messed up reasons. Unfortunately her path seems to take her back to Serafin. It is crazy what these two have been through. The secrets that unfold are crazy. I mean I was shocked after reading them secrets. You cannot change the past but you can definitely choose your future. That is what Mia and Serafin do. They do have a bit of a hiccup but it is easily bested. It is a pretty good book to read and will read more from Deja Voss.

Serafin and Mia were high school sweethearts, until one fateful day when everything in their worlds came crashing down and Mia left Krakow and continue on with her life and Serafin was left to heal and deal with the tragedy on his own. Neither one of them are the same people they were twelve years ago, and when Serafin faces Mia again for the first time in years, neither one of them are ready for the turmoil that being back in each other’s lives will bring.

This is a story of two lovers that are forced to stay away from each other for years, both having to continue on with their lives as best they can but neither one of them forgetting the other. The secrets, betrayal, pain and truths could either destroy their lives or make them stronger together. Once things start to unravel, they will need to find the strength to hold on tight and make their lives out to be what they want. I enjoyed this story and give it a 4-star review. If you’re a reader that enjoys mafia, twisted families and the danger that comes along with that, you will enjoy Serafin.

I was super intrigued by this book. I love Deja Voss and I enjoy reading books set in other countries. I hate traveling so this is a way for me to experience other countries without having to actually go there! I loved the use of some Polish words and it was an exciting world it was set in. Serafin was a great guy who had been through a tough time. Mia, I think had an even tougher time. They were good together but Mia needed to embrace help when it was given. The secondary characters were well thought out and a nice addition to the story.
The plot flowed well and I read it in two sittings because I was hooked from the beginning. It was interesting and fast paced with action and some surprises. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next installment.

This is the first book in new series and is Serafin and Mia’s journey. These two come from totally different backgrounds, yet they have loved each other for years and they were high school sweethearts, that is until something broke them apart and send them on different paths in life. Now 15-years later fate steps in and they meet again, and this time Serafin is determined not to let Mia get away so easily. This is a well written story which is heartbreaking, emotional, and with drama, secrets, twists, and unconditional love, which all leads to a riveting and addictive 2nd chance romance story. I was on tenterhooks throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this e author whose work I recommend.

Oh my goodness this book, this book! Serafin is an excellent second chance, dark read. It has all of the drama, love and darkness to make the perfect book.
Serafin and Mia loved each other for years. Serafin, living a life of wealth and Mia, a life of poverty never stood a chance. Their journey takes place over several years and it's heartbreaking the things they both have to go through before they find each other again. Of course even after finding each other again there's still no shortage of drama and secrets. This book kept me paralyzed with anticipation from page to page. I'm glad I found Serafin and Mia. An incredible read.

We learn why she disappeared all these years. Mia is a talented artist too! Serafin has power over the city but he does not abuse it!

NOW Serafin cousin Rafal is hilarious. Please tell me he gets a book. I love how he told Serafin how to strike a pose for a profile pic🤣 and taking the micky out of him that he joining the 20th century

Serafin and Mia were childhood sweethearts with their whole lives before them when tragedy struck, leaving Serafin deformed and Mia off on her own. Fifteen years later, a chance meeting has the two thrown back together - Mia recently divorced and Serafin one of the Kings of Krakow. Mia escaped Serafin once; he’s not going to let her do it again.

This was a great, quick read. Both Mia and Serafin were likable characters and the story had lots of twists and turns that kept me entertained until the end. Can't wait for the next book!

I thought that this was a really good read and I am anxious and excited to read more from this new series. Serafin and Mia's story is gritty, dark, dramatic and filled with raw emotions and stunning twists. While I could feel for both characters, I thought that Serafin was the more likable of the two. There was just something about Mia that kind of rubbed me the wrong way and I found it off-putting. Regardless, I felt that this book was a gripping, five star read. This is my unbiased, elective review.

Their story is full of danger, drama, heartache, lust, action and love. They might have been pulled apart once before, but he will not let that happen again. There are a couple of twists and turns you will not expect. I enjoyed the chemistry between them. The storyline was well written and pulled you in.

Serafin was my first intro to Deja Voss and I really enjoyed it! The sweetness of Serafin and Mia was so perfect, these two were clearly made for each other, and against all odds, every obstacle, they make it through to each other. That's some fairy tale stuff right there. This quick read had some great twists to it and made it unputdownable. I also really loved that it took me to another country entirely. Like traveling for the cost of a book!

I truly look forward to reading more form the series as well as the author.

I really enjoyed this book! I cannot believe the history between Mia and Serafin. It was engaging and delivered superbly. I am a fan of Deja and I will read anything she writes because she is that good! It has some triggers but nothing that the reader can not overcome. Deja can blow you away with her characters and drag you with her throughout the story! I am excited to see where this series is going and I am going to definitely be there for the ride ahead!

I love a good syndicate read! This is the first in a line of books written by different authors. The first book is by Deja Voss. The book was overall good. The characters were well written and developed. Some storylines needed more details. For example, Serafin's mom dislikes a character and then suddenly likes them. It seemed sudden and the explanation felt lacking. Still, overall a great start to the series. I look forward to the other authors and books!

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This book is a mafia story about two school sweethearts Mia and Serafin. Mia left town and all Mia and Serafin yearn for each other. Mia needs Serafin, after fifteen years she is back in town. Serafin is King of Krakow now and Mia believes he can help her out, these two have secrets that could help or may even hinder. Serafin will not let her go again, could this be a second chance or break them totally.

Although I am still getting to know this author I am thrilled with her writing and world she creates.
After losing the one you love, there comes the time, a chance to get her back but first he goes through an ordeal and takes what he needs to toughen up.
I highly recommend this book, and I apologize in advance for I know this review might not be helpful to its potential readers but I loved it so much I am afraid to write a spoiler in it.

Oh, this has so much drama and angsts and twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat reading. It's intense but so so good. Serafin and Mia are reunited and sparks still fly between them but it's not easy. This is a great start to a new series and I can't wait to see what comes next.v
