മലയാളത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തം നിത്യഹരിത നായകനായ പ്രേം നസീറിന്റെ ആത്മകഥയാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകം. സിനിമയിൽ എത്തി 25 വർഷം പൂർത്തിയായപ്പോഴാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകം എഴുതിയത്. പുസ്തകം തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ വായനക്കാരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നായിരുന്നു ബിപിൻ ചന്ദ്രൻ എഴുതിയ അവതാരിക. കുടുംബത്തെ പറ്റിയും സിനിമയിൽ എങ്ങനെ എത്തി എന്നതിനെ പറ്റിയും ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഉയർച്ചക്കാഴ്ചകളെയും അമിളികളേയും തുറന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ അവസാനം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പറ്റി ഷീലയും മധുവും ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള താരങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത് ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

2.5 stars. Mostly gives a picture of his early life and entry into cinema. Not much about his cinema life or interactions with directors or acting. The age in which this book was written is reflected in the style of writing. Too much of me me for an autobiography and also some of the contempt he has for other styles of cinema made it a boring read for me.
