Ending Bigly: The Many Fates of Donald Trump

Rate this book
"Trump is America’s Caesar; who will be Virgil? Will I be the American Virgil? Which of the myths I've made will become part of the very fabric of America the Empire? HOW WILL TRUMP END?" Donald Trump. Whether you love him or loathe him, there's no denying that Trump's presidency has profoundly changed America—and the world—in every conceivable way. But Trump's term in office, like all things, will eventually be over. Will he retire quietly? Go out in a blaze of glory? Get a second term? How will Trump end? Ending The Many Fates of Donald Trump is a literary anthology that attempts to answer that question. Edited by Canadian author Bill Marchant and featuring over two dozen short stories, poems, essays, and more, Ending Bigly is a comedic and incisive work that offers a glimpse at the post-Trump future. The book includes contributions from some of the finest literary minds of our age, including Bronze Age Pervert, Nick B. Steves, Gio Penn, Faisal Marzipan, Mencius Moldbugman, and many others. "Ending Bigly is a dizzying mélange of speculative hyperfiction, satirical future-histories, and surreal Great Man theorizing, postcards from the underbelly of the gilded beast that is Trump's America, the demented offspring of Philip K. Dick, J.G. Ballard, and Thomas Carlyle." — Blauergeist, author of "The Call of the Void" "This collection is a surprise, and a welcome one, much like Trump's presidency itself. In our social media goldfish minds, we may soon find ourselves wondering if Trump was ever president at all. That's been debunked, they'll say. Hillary was president from 2016 to 2020, then Biden. The stories in this collection are all true, as true as anything, truer than true. But no matter what fake news they publish, I won't forget you, Donny, the first and last president of online." — Zero HP Lovecraft, author of The Gig Economy and God-Shaped Hole

We will not fade

A tribute to Orange Man from frog twitter. Great variety of quite entertaining short stories and essays. “Conviction”, “Never the Twain”, “Old Man Trump and the Tochka” and “Many Such Cases” are my top picks.

What will be the fate of the God Emperor Donald J Trump? Will he quietly fade away or will he continue to act as large as a presence as he has been during his Presidential term?

This excellent book by Bill Marchant - who also wrote the brilliant Northern Reaction - and published by Terror House explores the many possibilities of what the future may have in store for Trump. A mixture of short stories and essays debate whether Trump will ascend to deity status, live out his last days in a Russian town, face imprisonment, or sip rum on the sun-soaked shores of Latin America. Some are serious and some are humourous - but all are thought provoking. My two personal favourites were the entries from Borzoi (a personal musing on how Trump's exit effects our daily lives) and Kashiwagi (a hilarious story about Trump's incarceration and the ramifications).

I love collections of short stories and this hit the nail on the head for me. Hopefully Terror House will release more in the future. Here's to Ending Bigly 2 - Electric Boogaloo!

I got this one on the recommendation of someone at Ace of Spades book thread. I liked one or two of the short stories in the collection (particularly the one by Hans Schantz) but the rest were meh. Mostly essays, not true short stories. Pass.

I have only read half the entries, but I can already say this book is worth reading. Funny and insightful!

A neat little collection of poems, essays, and short stories from various authors about the end of the Trump era. An easy and entertaining read.
