This book is so useful for anyone who feels like there is something amiss or wrong in their life. In this day and age of emptiness and coldness, it’s easy to be discouraged. This book is easy to digest with its great formatting and easy language. It doesn’t try to over compensate with complicated language and obscure ideas. It’s relatable and resonates with the reader with real life problems that we all face. This book stuck with me long after I was done with it. It has a lot of food for thought and I found myself meditating on the information and applying it in real world situations. There’s a ton of useful stuff in here. It starts with the beginning and how we used to be balanced but as technology progresses we are diverting our attention to different aspects and losing focus. This focuses on the mental part but it also touches on actual physical health issues as well. This is a wellness book, of the spirit, body and mind. Everyone needs to read it, it has great advice and a lot of things make sense once you read it laid out like it is in this book. It is well written and very interesting. It applies to almost everyone and anyone. Highly recommended.
A book for provoking thought. The topic: living a healthier life in a world that is unwell and how to fight the chronic loss of energy we all now face that our parents and grandparents never experienced. This book is not blaming any one thing in our lives; however, it does provide with a guideline on how to achieve a balance in our lives between healthy hobbies and past-times and the technology that is permeating every part of our lives. The author acknowledges that we cannot simply live without technology nowadays, but she does help us limit our consumption of it and with that raise our energy and happiness levels. I found it to be an interesting book, it certainly gives enough information for you to truly think about all the times we check our phones, or even sit and watch tv which some people don’t even count as screen time anymore. The message is a positive one, and after the fiasco of 2020, I think many people can benefit from some positivity.

Life goals have been difficult to solidify for me, with everything pulling from a different direction, especially in the chaos we are living since pandemic started, but this masterpiece set a clear way and was really easy for me to follow along. It is like having a personal life coach helping the process because it is written in a very direct and simple way and it is super informative! It's full of helpful advice on how to overcome some of the most common and biggest hurdles in reaching personal goals. And of course, it has lots of great information and step-by-step guidance on improving your life balance. I can’t wait to look more into what the author has to offer; I would thoroughly recommend it.

I found it clear and very easy to understand and follow. The pieces of advice it presents are useful and logical. I think that it is a book to keep at hand and read over and over again.

Something that caught my attention about this book was the fact that it is written in the first person plural, being this pronoun the main one present in the 6 chapters that make up the book. The language employed by author Dammerel is simple, not so flowery and rather straight to the point, what makes the reading easier. One of the mottos of this book is that technology is beneficial in many aspects of our lives, but it becomes a counter-productive tool for many others. I totally agree with this and with all the points the author conveys. I loved it a lot!

Boost is a life changing book. It helped me to get balance in many aspects (specially in my job and in my family), to manage my relationship with technology and it also reminded me the importance of being in touch with nature.
Along the pages, author Zee Dammerel delves with energy: what it is, where it comes from and how to raise its level. This really made me focus in myself, in my sources of energy and in bringing back vitality.
The book title is a great summary of the book impacts in myself after reading it: it lifted my energy, I lost stress, and it certainly support me to love more my life!
I simply loved this book, for this reason I am giving it 5 out of 5 stars. I felt fascinated with it; read it was an enlightening journey. In my opinion, more books like Boost are necessary on this planet. The main topic is very up-to-date and everyone can feel identified with the every single one that is exposed, and achieve mental and emotional enrichment. The author develops a huge history context in a brief but overwhelming manner; he also exposes different ways and provides a guideline to reach balance and harmony in our life. I agree a 100% with his words: “Technology is here to stay but we must not let it take over our lives”.
Loved this book. Wise advice, connecting me to what is true, beneath the stress and habits that tend to rule my life. Zee Dammerel raises practical questions that we can ask ourselves, to identify what we want to change in our life - and how to make those changes. The book is gentle, helping us to tune in, to feel and connect to nature and the feeling that comes from that. It helped me recall those intrinsic memories from my childhood where feeling nature brought true connectedness and pleasure. It shows simple ways we can introduce this into every day, and build on the strength of that connection. The author has generously drawn on her own life experience to create this wonderful book.
