Born 1986 in the prefecture Aichi, Horikoshi first attracted attention in the second half of 2006 when he entered Shueisha's 72th Tezuka Award for Newcomers with his one shot "Nukegara" and made it to the final six, where he gained himself an "Honorable Mention".
Various short stories in Shueisha's Akamaru JUMP followed over the years until he published his one shot "Oumagadoki Doubutsuen" in issue #2/2010 of Weekly Shounen JUMP.
Kouhei Horikoshi is a graduate of Nagoya University of Arts. He was previously an assistant to TANAKA Yasuki.

January 13, 2025I love My Hero Academia, and I was really excited to find out by my friend that they made the manga version of the first movie of MHA. It’s literally a frame to frame of the movie, so I knew this would be amazing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I could only find the manga in French, which isn’t an issue for me, but it threw me off from the story. The terms aren’t the same as in English, and the general feel of the MHA world was lost a bit with the translation.
Overall, it’s an actually 4,5 stars because I still love that movie and was really glad to see it made in a manga format.

Para ser la primera película de Boku no Hero es zafable.
Hablemos sobre el tema Melissa. No es que la odie, porque dentro de todo me pareció un personaje muy interesante y bastante lindo, pero no me cae bien, su rol es importante y su padre juega un papel fuerte en la película, pero nunca terminé de empatizar con ella, era medio vacío y muy chillona. Además el hecho de que solo se queje y tenga que ser ayudada no ayuda mucho a mi punto de vista.
La historia y la animación fueron muy buenas, más la historia, la animación se quedó en sí un poco corta, siento que la pudieron haber hecho mejor pero no puedo hablar porqué yo no soy animadora pero sé el esfuerzo que le pusieron a la película; pero es una lastima que las escenas finales sean las que tienen mejor calidad cuando en toda la película se pudo hacer escenas increíbles. Me sorprende mucho la amistad de Bakugo y Kirishima acá, generalmente Bakugo le volaría la cabeza pero no lo hace y eso me hace creer que hay un corazón en esa piedra que él tiene adentro.
Contame la necesidad de matarme al podré mayordomo jsjs, pobre viejo, el solo quería vivir jsajaja.
En fin, buena para ser la primera película✨

[2.5] Il completo di Bakugo con le rose vale 5 ⭐️ ma la storia no: All Might viene messo in disparte senza che ci sia un motivo preciso, e fatto rientrare alla fine tipo deus ex machina; c’è l’ennesima ragazza super bella che cade ai piedi di Midorya; l’amico scienziato era palese dall’inizio che avrebbe tradito tutti… però mi sono goduta le scene delle botte
