Webtoon; C28
Pros:
1. Rebirth/Revenge story. So she me okay I'm predictable. This is nothing compared to the 100s (no exaggeration) of histroms I read in my early 20s.
2. The subplot is just a baby being so cute she brings together people from a murderous family. Now I don't like babies irl but cuteness bringing people together is definitely my thing. Especially when it comes with bonus fucked-up families.
3. Sun brother and Ice brother are babies. They are adorable. I just want them to be happy.
4. He's only been there for a few panels but whatever I've seen of the antagonist is pretty cool? That one panel where he's slumped and staring at the empty side of his bed is great? I foresee drama, and I like it.
5. Cage. Is the cutest. She's so cute. Her character design. How she talks. How she pouts. I love her. I want to cuddle her. She's my baby.
6. The bit where the MC says she doesn't believe in love and everyone comforts her. I'm here for feel good found family dammit and this qualified!
Cons:
1. The main character is... not what I'd call well-defined. Her characterization is inconsistent. Sometimes the narrative depicts her as a vengeful badass. Sometimes she's a babies who doesn't realize how sweet she is. These two things do not go together, okay? Not the way it's depicted here, anyway.
2. The king suddenly being enchanted by the princess' cuteness? Yeah no I don't buy it. It makes no sense for a guy who's happy to let all of his other cute kids murder each other. As if a "daddy" is going to melt his hear. Fuck that.
3. I do not care for his magician guy who's more powerful than everyone else. I also don't care for how the witch despite being marketed initially as being super-powered, was actually pretty low on the totem pole.
