But, as a beginner, you have no idea of the feeling playing can give you, so what you need first is that playing experience, and that's exactly what I'm here to give you.
Oh, and you don't need to worry, this isn't a 24/7 all work, no play programme. Yes, you'll need to spend some time practicing, but it's the 21st Century, we have very busy lives, and I have busy lives, and I made all of the practices and learning as streamlined as possible for you!

Surprisingly Good Intro for Budding Guitarists
I'm always a bit skeptical of books that make broad claims, like being able to learn something as complex as guitar in just seven days, as the subtitle of this book says. When I went to open up my review PDF, my first thought was that 54 pages would not be enough to really ground the true beginner and start them on the path to learn guitar.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at all the great information that this author was able to pack into this book. You can tell right off the bat that he knows his stuff and is talking from experience. So many nonfiction books today are written by people who just throw together a bunch of random information on the internet and make a book. What a delight that this book was NOT like that. While, of course, this book would not tell you everything you need to know about learning guitar, it would certainly get you well grounded. The first chapter starts with buying a guitar; he talks about taking care of it. He goes into a little about how to read music and guitar chord notation. He does make a few silly claims like, “here are the only seven chords you need to know.” But then he follows it up with a chapter with far more chords! He goes over basic techniques. Later chapters include one on how to develop a practice schedule. I did think the organization was a little off in places. For instance, brief sections on learning how to finger-pick and strum were actually in the first chapter about buying a guitar. Perhaps there should have been another chapter on the basics, or perhaps it could have been folded into a different area of the book. That said, I think this is an excellent book for wannabe guitarists. Certainly enough to get your feet wet, learn some terminology, and actually start to play!
